"Yeah, sure," she said in the same monotone voice that she replied with earlier still staring out the window. All of a sudden, my vision lit up with sun circles dancing in my eyes, a ringing in my ears, and a cicada chirping in the distance until... "Ayame, Ayame, What are you doing there?" a friend, Toko-chan yelled out to me snapping me out of my flashback. I cleared my head and started to walk and talk with her to school with our matching keychains swinging from our bags as we walked. We got to class, which was starting soon, and sat down. As I stared out the window, I thought about what date it was. It was summer, the beginning of school once again, the date of that one event that took that precious person away from me. I still remembered it and all the small details about it. The days before with her uncharacteristic coldness and apathy, her less frequent meets with her gamer group friends, her reliance on me. I remembered the small happiness on how connected she was to me, the selfish insidious feeling of content at her closeness that made me oblivious to the event coming. A leap with her eyes closed and her body arched, right into the train hurling towards us, and a resounding scream afterward, making her disappear to a place I couldn't follow. A place I couldn't follow until today. After school was over, I went to those same railroad track that had sent her away and watched for any activity with spider lilies, a sign of passing, in my hands. I made sure that Toko was gone, it would do no good for her to see me do this especially when she was trying so hard to cheer me up. It was a deep regret of mine that she had to deal with the consequences of my own selfish actions, but not any longer. The whistles of the train got louder and louder. My legs started to tense up, a wetness on my face, and a tight grip on those flowers for you until... a jump. As I looked up to smile, I could see a ghostly hand reaching out to me with the same armbands as that one person. Your face was scrunched up and visible tears flowing out your eyes with your lips parted in an inaudible scream, but there would be no need for that as I would finally be able to see you again. Yeah, this just seemed like a fun thing to write with my love for vocaloid and hololive in general.
