I love how this song sounds like what our character feels when he meets Chaser. The Otherworldly sounds at the beginning really sell Chaser's betrayal and then the guitar comes in and it becomes a "you're going to down Chaser" kinda feeling. "A god, manufactured" is such a cool fucking name really sells the idea that Chaser is just another step for the prophets plans manufactured by them. Nakti you truly are one of the best out there, the wait was 100% worth it

It's really clever from Naktigonis that the Chaser's theme is more depths like, rather than from Eternal Gale. In lore Chaser is a double agent sent by Ministry, to prevent people from hurting Ethiron in some way. As a way or another excuse for drowned gods to make them gods too. Through out almost all of the song, there was those drum beat from Lacrimosa Dies Illa. A combat music of Layer 1, saying he's a Ministry member and is seeking power from depths. There even is the latin "Dies irae" and "Dies illa" near the end. The dedication to Deepwoken's music and lore is beyond normal comprehension. Wonderful job!

Some honest feedback, Chaser's Theme is definitely a Top 10 OST in the game, that's for sure, but as for an "intense fight" theme I feel like it just doesn't have much oomph in the theme, which almost all other intense tracks are also missing (asides INSOMNIA, which is a big part of what makes it so good). You should probably consider re-mixing/ amping up your snares in future tracks as they're really low in the mix on a lot of songs which makes them feel a lot less impactful. Keep up the good work though! Atmospherically, this track pretty much nails it. And as I mentioned, I still think this is a Top 10 OST in Deep.

thank you! i admit, this track was a bit of a nightmare in terms of mixing due to a variety of reasons, especially in the percussion section. in my infinite wisdom (/s) i decided to use three different percussion sets, and on top of that, the lack of consolidation on the project meant that my poor laptop from 2018 was absolutely chugging and crackling during playback. hopefully a new computer will solve the latter issue... but yes, i think you're right, there *is* a lack of punchiness here, as well as some of my other tracks. mixing and mastering have been my weak points since day 1, really - a shortcoming of being self-taught i guess. i should really get a book or two on industry-level production, or maybe attend a course, or something - been meaning to for a while now!
