I never comment, but this is necessary. Do NOT put a baby barrier up! I had a dog I loved so much, and she got her head stuck in the gate. When she was trying to get her head unstuck the the gate came off the wall and fell over and she snapped her neck. We were force to put her down because she was completely paralysed. It was awful and I would hate to see that happen to little Nala.

It's not very good for puppies to go up and down stairs, i can't remember why, but it's not very good. We have a lab puppy (well, she's a teen), but she is not allowed to go up many stairs, because it isn't good for them! :)

Also, I recommend a fence for the stairs to stop nala hurting herself, at pet shops where they have toys and food and beds, they often have little fences and they are soo handy, they also can fold up into a square which you can put her in, I can't explain it very well but they're super handy, I'm sure you'll find it at any warehouse type animal supply stores
