i had a game where i got 2 golden lubbers and the 4 drop ele that scales the shop when spells are played. did not see a single strike oil for 5 turns before i gave up and leveled. so confusing. i asked dogs chat about it and some dickhead condescended me saying it was just variance 😴

@@doug744Warning: Reading what's below here may spoil your enjoyment of hearthstone forever, That's because the real answer is that RNG is a lie. Random number generators are just highly complex databases filled with outcomes so it looks like you get new results every time a dice is rolled on a computer, but there's the caveat, computers can't roll dice. When a computer is told to pick a random number it just picks the one next in line of the coding. So, if you put create a series of number between 1 in 10 100 times you won't see the same pattern often, but probability theory dictates that if you repeat something with a small chance often enough, you will end on the small chance eventually. At some point you're going to land on a pattern that consists of only numbers between 7 and 10 for a while. It's not much different from slot machines either, if you look up some information on those and apply those principles to battlegrounds then you'll see what I mean. In Battlegrounds there is a lot of manipulation going on and that makes it all the more obvious that their RNG generator is kinda crappy. People call it paranoid but there is no denying that because of the cards offered in the shops and battle "RNG" you just win or lose the game. Of course it depends on the builds you know and how badly you want to get top 4, but I am someone who forces builds like a maniac so I notice these things. While looking for my Rylacs and Felementals I keep seeing one or two cards over and over again and other cards just never. That's because Blizzard thinks they need to push at least two minion types so you can land on a build and not get such a large variety that you potentially land on nothing coherent, which doesn't work in the slightest since every tier has shitty support cards that you can not build around. Statistically however you will always land on something and can reach top 4 if you try hard enough, which is why players like Dog exist. And at the same time it's why Krip has become pretty darn good at predicting his luck, there aren't as many variables in Battlegrounds as you'd expect and Blizzard has stuck magnets under "in battle effect" minions and attack deterrent on minions like Playful Trickster. With this information I can tell within the first 5-8 turns how much the game hates me at the moment and if it's worth playing or not. Especially in the current meta it's very noticeable since the balance is off by about 20 miles. When you hit you win and if you don't you lose hard. If you see enemies snipe your value minions each combat you can know the game hates you and you may as well play something else.

I have never lost to this one in my bracket tbh. Rarely people even chose to play it. Hard to pull off. A lot of builds can just get you out of the game before you even get there and even if you get there there are builds that just outscales you

Honestly it would've been interesting to see if the pivot to replacing the reroll elemental with Motley was worth at 18:04, you do get rid of one of your biggest units but it let's you scale up a new tribe and prevents the 2 lubbers from getting buffs stolen from the reroll elemental. Plus it lets you use the cultist in the late late game to prevent from getting scammed.

If you're going to replace I think you're ahead to replace with divine shield mech rather than the motley. If it's the taunt of the motley that's so appealing in combination with the cultist, you can taunt the Soul Rewinder later. The only other thing motley has is flexibility, but it's K, if you're replacing anything from that point its for fungus's so you don't need it. The divine shield is the better IMO.

I literally did this exact comp a few days ago. Hit double Nalaa round 8. Minions were at 800/400 by the end of the game. Mobile apm also isnt great otherwise I think I woulda hit 1200+

I played yesterday, and with one golden and 2 normal lubbers - didn't see coin that buying for blood. Like 2 turns in a row, have everything except this card 🤷🏻‍♂️

This what's gonna happen in 99.9% of the time or they will move maybe a health coin to 3 which is a big big damage to the best version of the build.

@@Hateful_Bug The reason I suggest moving Lubber to 3 is it leaves the build "possible" while still being far more white whale of a comp than it currently is. This is something you should maybe see once in 100 games at best, and from one player.

Yes it was. We’ve always had low level spamming builds and insanely high APM infinite gold builds. They’re built into the fabric of this game most patches.

"Where are the strike oils? I've seen none! How is that even possible?" The reason this is possible is because Random Number Generators (RNG) aren't truly random, they only appear to be random. They use algorithms to generate seemingly random numbers but are, in fact, determined by an initial value known as a "seed" and a series of mathematical operations. This is why something that would normally be statistically improbable happens fairly often in videogames that are dependent on RNG.
