It was finally time for surgery. The day of my full mastectomy, the removal of my entire left breast. By removing the entire affected area, hopefully my breast cancer will never return and will be gone for good!
Nalie was diagnosed with breast cancer at 24 years old in July 2013 and has been blogging about her journey ever since.

I cried from beginning to end Nalie! Watching this just shows you need to remain positive through everything. No matter what life hands you. You have to stay strong and hold on to your support system.

U made my night. I was showing my 8 1/2 daughter wh at my older sister had to go through. U made me cry, just remembering what my sister went through. My sister had breast cancer also. I was so angry wit GOD for that. But I never let her see me cry. It was soo hard for me. I felt like GOD was punishing me for taking my sister for granted! I really thought I was going to lose her. See my mom had an accident when I was 6months old, left her like Frankenstein. My sister is 23yrs older than me. My mom is alive and well, and my sister is doing great 11yrs CANCER FREE! On her 7th I think anniversary I got my 1st tattoo of a cancer ribbon, and Angel wings, because she was and is my guardian angel! She is so brave, and strong! Every yr on her CANCER FREE day I call her and tell her how much she means to me. She is the glue to my family. I hope for nothing but blessings, and happiness for u, and ur family! I kno it's hard but GOD doesn't give us more than what we can handle!

gosh youre a lucky woman surrounded by your family after surgery. I came from a big religious family but none of them appeared. They knew my surgery date but they were way too busy to support me. Nobody was there when i opened my eyes. Then i got operated again in 9 days, they knew it, but nobody came to see me again, just my kids and my 2 inlaws. That sucks! That hurts than my surgery. If only they knew how I feel. They wont care anyway to know. Until the present time, no get well cards, no texts nor calls as if i was just running a fever, why bother to call. In fact they dont even know a single thing that my radiation treatment is over. You are truly blessed Nalie, you felt you are loved. Big family but unloving and uncaring.

This video was hard to watch, I tried not to cry, but I do better with knowing what to expect. Since a mastectomy may be in my near future, it's better to face the reality of what's to come. So scary. But I appreciate how brave you are, your amazing spirit is so inspiring.
