How would you do the animation timing with the set-driven key? for instance, the gate will only open when the bridge is entirely down?

when setting key, set rotation of lever to more than 0°, then for other objects, you can set the key to default rotation, then if rotation of lever goes to the value you set earlier, it will start rotating then.

Hi there.... Trying figure out a way to control the speed of an animation with a lever or other control object. I have my objects and key frames. I could go the set-driven key route, but I have about 31 keys in total, between X & Z movements -- required because of subtleties needed in the animation. This entire animation I can scale in the Graph Editor, but my boss is asking me for a control for scaling the key frames' time values that is outside the Graph Editor. Hope this makes sense. Time Warp does not come into play here, since it exists within the Graph editor, and controls the entire scene -- not just the one grouped object I want it to affect. Set-driven keys appear to be the only way to do this -- without a MEL or a Python script (which I don't know how to do). But, using SDKs would also seem to mean that I'd have to reconstruct my animation... or, I'd have to make sure that the lever's movement left to right would be proportional to the various keys' distance from each other along the timeline. Otherwise, I'm going to get some disproportionate scaling of speed as I move my slider. Did this make any sense?!? It's a little hard to describe.

Freeze transformation will set the current position, rotation and scale as the new default for the object. This ensures that if we ever move it or change its transforms we can go back to this new default by zeroing the translation and rotations
