Just received two of these in the mail. Came with 2 units, and a tester which was reusable. My insurance didn't cover evzio, but there's this program by a pharmacy in Chicago that will mail them to you for free, so that's what I did. I also have two Narcan nasal spray units. I keep them in my trauma kit in the car, along with a window breaker, flashlight, and shears in case I need to expose the leg for any weird reason. (The kit has blood loss stuff too.) If any of you carry this in your car or on your person, I would recommend carrying a window punch just in case. If you don't carry this on you, please talk to your doctor and ask them for a narcan prescription. You may just save someone's life when seconds count.

I HAVE ONE, AND HOPE TO GOD, I DON'T HAVE TO USE IT! Rest In Peace, to the ones I have lost, in the past.

So... you paid 4k for a talking syringe? I got 2 cartridges of Narcan for $40.

@@lowonlife_highondeath I doubt anyone would pay cash for one of these. they're covered by insurance

Something they don't mention is the actual autoinjectors (with the drug and needle in them) will tell you if they have been used when you pick them up and go to put the cap back on. I did just that and it scared the heck outta me!

What is the difference between this, the ones with the needle and vials or the nose spray? What do you recommend ? Is the nose spray weaker then the injections? I have a daughter who is in treatment 70 days clean but my biggest fear in the whole world is her coming out relapsing and ODing. I do have the 2 syringe and 2 vials but want to make sure I have the best product or the best way to do this. My daughter has lost 4 friends in 2 year and 2 of those friends were in treatment a year!!!😢😢😢

Hi there, I'm the Harm Reduction Lead for the New Zealand Needle Exchange Programme. The drug (Naloxone) in the autoinjector (Evizio) in this video, is the same drug used in Naloxone nasal spray, pre-filled syringes and vials/ampoules. There really is no difference between the autoinjector, vials/ampoules and pre-filled syringes other than the packaging and talking voice on the autoinjector and ease of use (autoinjector and prefilled syringes don't require you to break open a glass ampoule and fill a syringe first). The drug is the same and works just the same as they all deliver the naloxone via intramuscular injection when used correctly. The nasal spray is also very effective and works just as well. Some people find it less intimidating to use because it isn't injected - giving someone a nasal spray is easier for many people. If you know how to use the syringe & naloxone vials you have they will work to reverse an overdose just as well as any of the other naloxone options. Good on you for having it on hand, I hope you never have to use it.

I've had to use naloxone in every form it comes in. I like these though because you can just open it and press down and you're good to go. It can get nerve racking when you have to try and put stuff together when you're trying to save someone's life however they all work the same. I wouldn't say one is better than the other.

@@ThePirateWhiteBeard Thank you for this response my daughter has been in treatment since my last comment but is now finally coming home. I hope I never have to use what I have but I just wanted to make sure I always had this on hand especially now that she is coming back home

Real life and Truths Your daughter is lucky to have someone like you who cares enough to get some Naloxone. Best wishes to you and your daughter, I hope everything works out for the best!

Can you reuse the tester So I would know and to teach my husband and daughter? If not I will make sure they are all there when I try it I have been on meds for over 5 years I always take my meds correctly and never run out before my next one is due. I am very careful with them but it's good to know in an emergency

Thank you for getting back to me and so fast I appreciate it very much THANK YOU AGAIN for doing this video My Painmanagment doctor just had it send in the mail from a pharmacy I don't use She said something about getting it but my Pharmacy never received anything and my husband found it between my porch and walkway I had no clue I live in Ohio and it came from Michigan ( pharmacy ) I looked at one other video before yours but wanted to double check to make sure and when I saw yours I thought about it if it could be used twice. I have always been careful with my Medications but it is nice to have a Security blanket specialy with having Grandchildren Even though they can't get to it But living in the Country away from help makes it a bit better I guess. It's a shame to many people use Medications for the wrong reasons and make it harder for us with chronic pain to get treated right And now everyone has to pay because some idiot's overdosed ( sorry to put it that way )so they have to decrease everyone's medication and so many patients came out crying from their App. And me too it has taken a toll on my way of living I already couldn't do much or go places I didn't think it could have gotten worse boy was I wrong But what can we do Well goodness here I go again THANK YOU take care and stay safe
