Unbelievable! I used to have a Jack LaLane juicer that I hated kzbin.infoUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 But I still always liked the idea of a juicer even after getting rid of that one years ago (and spending $150 for it). Enter this Hamilton Beach juicer. wow. Wow. And WOW! It is so easy to use. The mouth tube is so big! And cleaning is so fast! I just took the bin of pulp out to the compost and rinsed it out in my sink outside then brought it in and hand washed everything. Thanks for including the brush to clean the strainer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The omega on the end nozzle is adjustable so you can tighten and get dryer pulp. You can adjust to the type of produce you use.

Hey! Nice video. A few comments for future comparisons: 1.) as others suggested those are two different style juicers so a lot of the pulp is still in the Nama. 2.) I would compare the pulp in the juice by pouring it through a strainer 3.) pour the juice produced into a measuring cup to see if there is a difference in yield. 4.) make sure to closely check the colors to see if one juicer is causing more oxidation (from what I could tell they both looked nice and vibrant).

Your enthusiasm and energy is refreshing to watch. A well deserved thumbs up and I just subscribed. Note the Nama juicer holds a lot of celer pulp inside the juicer, whereas the NC800 does not, so you should remove the celery pulp from inside the Nama juicer before comparing pulp with the NC800 juicer. I completely agree with your results on juicing pineapple, because I have the exact same results when comparing my VSJ843 with my NC800 juicing pineapple. Suggestion for one of your future video comparisons, can you demonstrate juicing carrots only, in your Breville centrifugal juicer (using the highest speed setting) and then run that carrot pulp two or three times thru your NC800, and show how much additional carrot juice you get from the pulp. Then repeat juicing the exact same amount of carrots in your Breville centrifugal juicer using the same speed setting, and run that carrot pulp two or three times thru the Nama juicer, and compare the pulp juicing yields from both juicers. This will of course compare the Nama with the NC800 for juicing pulp produced from the centrifugal juicer, plus it will show how much more juice you can get from the pulp. I look forward to your next videos.

Thank you for your insight and new ideas. I actually let the Nama run for a while before turning it off to get all the juice and pulp out. But as for the carrots, that’s a great idea. Thank you for your suggestion ❤️

@marys.50503 жыл бұрын
Great video! Thank you. There were a couple other points to consider: 1. Price - Omega wins on that consideration, and 2. Warranty-- don't know Nama's warranty, but Omega is an incredible company that stands behind their juicers. The old omega I have is a work horse and I have a 10 or 15 year warrantee . They will replace parts no questions asked 10 years later, if in fact you ever have a problem. That is huge and worth considering when you buy such an expensive machine. So those things may make it worth your while to just put the wet pulp through a second time which does a good job with the Omega. Food for thought.

I have the omega and it has a nozzle that makes the pulp dry. It’s the celery nozzle. I would like to know the time difference. The nana may be faster because the mastacater is wider and it is centrifugal as opposed to the omega turning on its side. Both are pretty expensive and I am strongly considering buying the nama. Watch John Kohler's latest "Am I biased against Nama" for a truly detailed comparison of the flaws in the nama design. I own a Omega 8006 & haven't been able to justify the trade offs in ease of washing, versatility, durability of horizontal designs. Also play around with the pressure dial like the lovely lady did NOT adjust in this video for more pressure on th e pulp.
@jeaneen21703 жыл бұрын
Hi there. So here's my thing with the dial at the end. I have been turning that thing for years. Years, I tell you LOL. I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't work. In the beginning when I still had the manual, the pulp would still come out wet. Recently, the dial started falling off. That was very frustrating. I was happy to do away with the dial. BUT S/N what do you think about juicing soft fruits like apple? One of my favorite drinks is Apples, Lemon, and Ginger. Juicing soft fruit like that in the Omega is the worst. I never have that back up issue with the Nama =)
@penangtv61083 жыл бұрын
@@jeaneen2170 Actually suspected that the dial wasn't 100%effective but the 8006 was before the dials so now I know :). I hv never personally juiced apples or any soft fruits as I use it for soy beans/coconut milk, but although I don't experience serious backup when putting the bean pulp in for the 2nd squeeze, I find that pouring some water/juice in the tube might help it to go through. & not cutting apples too small, leaving the skin on, can help. & I actually installed a tiny pc fan inside my 8006 to cool it, because gears run slower if too hot & when it's slower = more backup. You can try putting ice packs around & under your machine. I totally realize that there doesn't seem to be a perfect 1 size fits all juicer yet. Great vids & personality! Go sista!

@@Usernamebreh the hopper? Clearly you don’t understand how a juicer works. It’s impossible for anything to get stuck in the HOPPER, in a vertical juicer. There’s gravity and a pusher they provide to assist if the auger cannot grab the produce (the angle at which it’s laying, etc). I purchased the Nama and I have been satisfied thus far. The pulp gets caught in the auger, not the hopper. If you’re going to try to correct me you should at least have your facts straight. Smh

The nama might taste more vibrant because the juice is exposed to more air. Similar to how wine tastes more vibrant after aeration, while it increases the flavor profile, it also increases oxidation which can have a destructive effect on nutrient profile; won't last as long, will degrade faster.

I’ve had the nama for almost a year and I’m disappointed in it. I just noticed the metal piece on the inside has been ground down which means heavy metals have been getting into my juice. They are replacing the parts under warranty…but I am concerned to keep using it if it happens again. I don’t feel I can trust the product. Which is a bummer bc it was very expensive. Ive gone back to using my greenstar (which yields way more juice and gives much drier pulp) however, since the gears are metal they do get microscopic pieces of heavy metals into your juice, so I am looking into the mm900hds omega juicer, so far I’m in on the reviews I’ve seen. I wish I could post a picture on here if the grinded down metal in my omega. Also, I’m not sure why it’s different, but I get a lot of fairly wet pulp from my nama juicer, and less juice than from my greenstar.

For the longest I kept going back and forth between the Omega and the Nama. I literally just bought the Omega yesterday. Wish I saw your video prior.

The omega is affordable and gets the job done. One day you’ll upgrade, omega is a good start tho

Just wondering if you tried hitting reverse on the Nama to unstick it? I read somewhere to try it for 20 seconds, then return to normal direction. This video convinced me to get a Nama, as I was an Omega fan before. Thanks for your enthusiasm!

First timer, love the video. I would like to see how the two do with leafy greens, especially wheatgrass. I have an Omega 8006, a breville, an Omega VRT 350M. Out the 3 the 8006 is better as the VRT gets locked and hard to clean. Great video, I am a subscriber.

First of all, ......Oh My Gawd!!!! You're beautiful. 😳 That review is on point, your energy kept my attention. You touched on er'thing that I wanted to know being new to juicing. Im going to start off with the Nama as my first juicer. After having watched a number of videos, the Nama seems to be the best on the market. Im sure this video has saved me some cash because I was considering the Omega as a second choice and the sole reason was price, but its obvious why and it will be money well spent IMO. Thanks again for being so energetic and informative, also thanks for sharing. God bless and be well Ma'am.

Greetings Jeaneen I'm new to your channel but I'm a fan of your smile and personality. So I'm in the market for a juicer but I didn't like the fact that the one of the juicers locks up! So it looks like I have to wait to see your next video challenge to pick one. Thank you and yes I'm a fan of your channel now!! Take Care!!

Less pulp is good because the pulp in the Nama was drier ? Do u use organic celery? And so isn’t the Omega juicer a good juicer for a beginner. I bought a Amazchef and it does the same juicing as the omega juicer.
@gaines3amber3 жыл бұрын
It would be interesting to see how much more liquid the Nama can get out of the wet pulp from the other.

@ Jeaneen, great video comparison but I feel that you could be slightly mistaken in thinking the Nama "won" in the pulp comparison. By extracting MORE pulp, the Omega did a much better job of "juicing". After all, juicing is extracting the juice FROM the pulp, isn't that true? Thank you for posting this excellent video.
@jimscott4539 Жыл бұрын
I feel the cleaning factor alone makes a big difference if you juice a lot. If marginal difference in taste, then clean up hassle of the Nama would be a big downer. Also, not a big deal to run pulp through 2x with the Omega. …Plus, I like that the Omega can make fresh pasta, bread sticks, sausages nut butters easily. Don’t, think the Nama is that versatile.
@Tryshroom Жыл бұрын
Hmmm I didn’t know it could make pasta I have to read my guide

Thank you SOOOOO much for this amazing review! I just purchased the Nama and was having a little buyers remorse (and it hasn't even arrived yet!). Your review made me feel much better! I have owned a fast juicer before and it was very good, but I wanted a slow juicer so I could retain more juice and nutrients. You are an AMAZING reviewer by the way.....like literally the friendly girl next door personality! Can I come over? Lol! Seriously though, if I hadn't already purchased the Nama, I would after seeing your review! Thanks again!

Thanks for the video, you're great :) can I juice wild herbs (like stinging nettle, burdock root etc.) in the nama juicer? or do you think it would lock up completely?
@jeaneen21703 жыл бұрын
so I've never tried it. But looking at burdock root, I would try that. However, I personally wouldn't try stinging nettle because in the "Nama Family" FB group, someone said their Nama got stuck from the stem of an apple.
