As a Malawian, I am happy that this resonates with different people across the Continent. This is a mixture of several hit songs that Mr. Giddes did at the pick of his career. So it is not a one song. I hope one day I can find time to translate for those asking. However, literal translation without knowledge of it's context, looses it's true meaning. But for now just enjoy whatever your heart translates out of this beautiful mush up and interpret it in your own way. By the way I love Ghana and it's people, so I was smiling seeing all the Ghanaian people here. Akwaaba.

I can confidently say now I can memorise the song lyric, I'm a British musician teenager, I've never been in Malawi but this song is f* special. I think I've watched this video 5 times every day, how on earth this elderly artist is neglected and poor, Challmanda you are a unique artist now, tomorrow and forever ❤️

Heard it for the first time last saturday that is the 12th of February 2022. And i cant seem to listen to any other song aside this very one. The moment i played it in the loud speakers, my elder brother said “That is Chalamanda” and i was like u knew him and never made mention of him before?? Thank you Namadingo for doing this. May you never lack and may peace be your portion always. Much love from Ghana 🇬🇭

This is great Music of the oldies from Malawi. I relate with so much having listened to Kenyan Music of the 1960s with great inspiration oozing with life. I don't understand the Chichewa dialect but the Bantu in it is similar to Swahili, I am a Nilote myself. I thank God for you Dr. Namadingo and associates for facilitating and making this reggae mashup. Its full of life. I challenge you to be as natural as Giddes Chilamanda and you will go far.
