Being a Teugu guy and a movie freek, I tell you what is the main difference. Telugu people's imagination about screen presentation and elevation of scene with human emotions is top notch, and they also show that in action movies and mainstream commercial movies. Also, we saw NTR senior in mythology films and looked exactly like Ram, Dhurodhan, Krishna, Karna.. people see him as God.. so this image is rooted in their memory from childhood and imagination of mythology has no boundaries. Well said bro, i belong to south, Andhra Pradesh, I used to watch hindi movies so interestingly but in the past 10 years i'm kind of choosy to pick movies from Bollywood, coz i don't see any novelty in stories, huge budgets, foreign shootings, high profile hero, high lifestyles kind of like they (story tellers and directors) were beyond ground reality, almost every story starts from foreign land ...jaise ki bharat mei stories shuru karne se sharminda hai? Hamare purnano se aur itihason se kayi kahaniya nikaal sakthe hai, yaha kahaniyo ka koi kami kabhi bhi nahi hai iss bharat mei, bas unse dur hat ke kahaniya kehne lage. Anyways, it is a cycle of life for everyone, what we left behind will come back again in time travel.

I am from Telangana and i watch both Telugu and Hindi movies. Main difference between both these industries is conviction and sincerity. Even in telugu there are lot of movies which are like over the top, cheesy and border line cringe but there are 1-2 gems every year where story telling is so good that even few underwelming aspects are ignored but where as in bollywood that's not the case even if story of the movie is good they try to bollywoodise (lack of better word) it by unneccessary love story, songs, dance numbers and sexualize things. Even kalki had similar issues in the first half where whole disha patani/ dance sequence unnecessary, few cheezy dialogues and fights which could have been executed better but film finds its soul by the end of first half and second half just goes bonkers. Tight execution in the first half and less song/dance sequence could have made it the top quality which can be compared to any sci-fi hollywood movie.
