Day 02 at the Everest Base Camp and the Three Passes Trek was all about hiking in clear weather and seeing the big mountains for the first time. The video was shot on 13th October 2022 while hiking in the Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal.

Hi Manav, You have captured the beauty of the hike so well right from the start. I liked how you started by showing chengu village and then the sky. That is what I do during treks. I like the clear skies in mountains. Also the waterfall and that double hanging bridge looked so beautiful. Very well narrated as usual. I have been following your videos from quite sometime and you are doing a very good job. Happy to see your progress. I had one question and I always have that while watching your videos. How do you manage to do long treks with such little backpack? May be at the end of the EBC series you can make a video on how did you manage with 5kg backpack throughout the trek. It will be helpful. Hi Sangeeta, I am glad that you found the documentation informative. I am able to do the hikes in a small and lightweight bag because I study the treks (contours, season, weather, availability of food and water on trail, elevation profile etc) and then I get a fair idea about what gear is actually required for the trek. I will definitely make videos on what to carry whenever one goes to EBC.

Noticed a good amount of Young Deodar or Maybe Himalayan Spruce after the Sagarmatha Entry point plus with a mix of Maybe Blue Pine and Chilgoza Pine. Lots of Oak throughout the trail and also I think it was Weeping Cyprus when you were interviewing those Lost in Trails couple.

@@Creedaz 😂😂. Mostly I just saw Pine trees, you can easily identify them with their leaves. Deodar has very tiny threads as compared to pine also the bark and structure is a lot different.
