Demitri is a villain, but much more on the "anti-hero" side by chance. He acts evilish, but in fact he only wants to dethrone Morrigan and assume the position of Makai/Demon World ruler. He don't give any shit to humans except for their blood, unless they bring any interest to him aside of it[Like Anita, which may be a source of power to defeat Morrigan] Funny enough, he never KILLED humans indiscriminately, only fools who challenged him or servants who gave their blood to him. And if means a chance to steal the demon world's throne, he will accept to work along the other characters.

He is loosely based off Vegeta from DBZ. A character who has played both the villain and anti-hero roles. In the first game he played the role of the anti-hero, defeating Pyron for his own plans. This did prevent the Earth from being consumed, but ultimately it was just a by product of his plans towards revenge. Demitri is a villain from that point onward.

As much as I like Demitri, i do believe they highlighted Morrigan as the strongest one out of the Darkstalkers, just look at how elaborate her storyline is compared with the rest.. but I do miss Demitri in fighting games, wish he would have made it in MvC3, oh well, maybe next time, congrats to Morrigan, Felicia and Hsien-Ko in representing Darkstalkers!

Capcom said that it would require more work on each character, knowing that every male character would need a female version for this move, and they also said that MARVEL wouldn't be too happy with "Superheroes" being turned into "Superheroines".

Eh, I disagree with the assessment of Demitri being the main character. The series was named in his honor, but it feels like a "Legend of Zelda" situation. Reason why it's iffy is Morrigan's face was clearly the biggest on the poster to the original game, and by the end of the series, which was BEFORE Marvel vs Capcom happened, the story was centered on her. I'd say in the games themselves the spotlight is pretty shared, personally.

Demitri's powers skyrocketed after absorbing Pyron and he for a time surpassed Morrigan , Having Morrigan beat Jedah was a means to push her back into being on par with him...We know Morrigan was powerful as a child , but we don't know how strong she was compared Pyron Absorbed Demitri. Their Dynamic is similar to Optimist and Megatron,equal forces always clashing with one another. Having one stronger than the other ruins the dynamic.

@jieuxx They would still be similar. Bulleta looks like Little Red Riding Hood, who looks like a dolly herself in some ways, and Bulleta also uses weapons similar to ones you described. Uzis (a type of gun used in the Israeli military), Apple-grenades, and even knives, so they would still be noticeably similar.
