They did, actually! Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier was released in America, and features them heavily. They travel alongside the other main characters, and are playable.

The animation of this really reminds me of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Years ago, I was so obsessed with looking at videos of this and trying to get it, but then I realized it was Japan exclusive. *sigh* At least, I got KZbin to look up this stuff. :)

I doubt the sequel is getting localized, which makes me pretty sad. You're thinking of Project X for the 3DS, and I hope they make a comeback too, because they're great characters. Crossing my fingers for Haken also, but won't hold my breath.
