@@MirrorOfEmotions Obi-wan himself warned Anakin not to try because he knew he would fail and would have to seriously hurt him, but Anakin didn't listen to him and after that Obi-wan tried to tell Anakin that this is not what was supposed to happen. , this is not how all this had to end, and Anakin responded by yelling at him that he hates him, at that moment Obi wan still having a great love for Anakin and seeing how his brother realized that he could not save him, not only because he could not return Anakin to the light anymore but also because Palpatine was on his way and he was running out of time. The reason why he doesn't finish him off is because Obi-wan when he sees Anakin burning essentially thinks that Anakin is dead, not directly but that result is already inevitable (since Anakin only survived thanks to the dark side, something that Obi-wan didn't understand) , and he didn't have the willpower to kill him, even with all that Anakin had done Obi wan still didn't have the cold blood to put him out of his misery, and there is also the fact that killing someone defenseless is illegal by Jedi standards so i couldn't do it. Even so, Anakin's story is absolutely tragic and sad, but an important theme is that although Obiwan failed Anakin as he himself admitted, it was Anakin's actions that led him to his tragic destiny, he chose that path and had to pay for it which makes it more tragic, if nothing had been his fault then he could blame the world for his misfortune, but the fact is that although the Jedis and the Siths played an important role in making his life horrible... He was the most responsable.

Shadow only lost his memories. Eggman asserts at the end of the dialogue, with certain pride, that he is the true ultimate life form that his grandfather created. It's a really great and we'll placed piece of dialogue in my opinion and I think that people assume that the here and now Shadow is a robot only because the media mercilessly trashed the game. It's true that most people didn't reach that moment in the fight, but these hidden things were never an excuse for so many not knowing an important piece of lore in a famous IP and making extra, fake lore from their own heads lol.

Sniper from TF2 has the saddest backstory in TF2 for me. He was abandonned by his biological parents, and even if he was found by honests persons, he was bullied at school and became antisocial. His relation between him and his adoption parents became worse and he isolated himself in the desert. Even in the team, he wasn't well-liked, especially by Spy. When he returned home, he found out that his parents died without fixing their relation and weren't his true parents. Finally, he almost died, but in his vision, he used his little time in the afterlife to say to his adoption parents that he wanted to follow them. But they refused, telling him to finish the mission, because "A professionnal doesn't leave his work until he's finished, son. And you are a professionnal"

Only one error in this comment is that he as a baby crawled into the space pod his dad made which launched him from the bottom of New Zealand(which is under the ocean) to Australia(not abandoned, though technically his dad did try that from the start only to get in a cartoon fight with his mom, and at the end he does abandon him to die in the present for no real reason). And it is implied that the launch wiped out all of New Zealand(except Snipers biological parents) from the hole it left in the glass dome protecting the city from drowning. @@diegofromgothic7642 I think all playable NPC's have a hard time. Lohse and Sebille would be the candidates on the second place for the most suffered characters. Even the arrogant Red Prince has a terrible backstory which is also almost similar with Fanes. The only NPC with an ok-Story would be the Beast. Yeah, yeah he was abadonned and betrayed by his queen and so on, but this is in my opinion not such a big deal like the things which happened to the others. But with the ends by Fane: The thing is, in all ends Fane doesn't get a good end except if he is in a relationship. Without it, he will rule alone as the divine and as the last of his kind, even if he may a good ruler. Of course there is also the option to bring his folk back but then will all other races suffer for the benefit of the Eternals

So many people don’t understand the pain that Mewtwo went through since they removed the most depressing scenes out of the theatrical release of his movie.
