No amount of worship can equate to the mercy and infinite blessings You have bestowed upon us - we are guilty of taking them for granted and for not being grateful to You in the way Your Majesty deserves. Strip away from me everything that displeases you, everything that hurts me, and everything that causes me grief, anger, anxiety and despair - and replace these with the qualities and the characteristics of the prophets (peace be upon them all) and your most beloved female servants (may you be pleased with them always)... love me in the special way You love them, not because I deserve it (because I don't) but because Your Love is the Light in my soul and the warmth in my heart. You have witnessed how my heart has grown, fallen, made mistakes, learned and has wrongfully yearned for the love of others - today I know and I recognize that the only Love I need is Yours - HesbunAllah wanyam al wakeel ♡ And I am profoundly sorry, my Lord, that it took me this long to realize it and to internalize it with sincerity. Help me process this in a way that reflects Your Mercy on me, and allow me to pursue it with worship that will make You proud. May You always keep me on Your Path and close to You in the manner You honored Your chosen ones. Install Your names in our hearts and bring them to life throughout ours. Heal and empower us individually and as an ummah - grant victory to the bravest of our brothers and sisters, comfort and ease despite their sufferring, Jannah tul Firdeous with the greatest honors and eternal peace - they alone fight battles we can't even begin to comprehend - use me to bring this injustice to an end - to You everything in prostration, on That Day, will bend. Grant us victory over the ones that plot against us, over those who have abused us time and time again and show no signs of intentions of making things right, over those that have wronged us in ways we never saw coming, those who took advantage of our kindness and our support while we were doing it in Your Name Ya Rabbi! We are your slaves - Yours is your Kingdom Aameen ♡

It’s necessary to align yourself between the fear of Allah’s punishment as a result of your sins and hope for Allah’s mercy. Abu ‘Aliyy Rauzubari said “Fear and hope and are like the two wings of a bird, if they are well balanced, the flight will be well balanced. But if one is stunted then the flight would also be stunted. And to be sure, if the two are loss, the bird would soon be in the throne of death.” May Allah guide and keep us steadfast.

Die Upon the Fitrah اَللّٰهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ إِلَيْكَ ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيْ إِلَيْكَ ، وَأَلْجَاْتُ ظَهْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِيْ أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِيْ أَرْسَلْتَ. Allāhumma aslamtu nafsī ilayk, wa fawwaḍtu amrī ilayk, wa wajjahtu wajhī ilayk, wa alja’tu ẓahrī ilayk, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayk, lā malja’a wa lā manjā minka illā ilayk, āmantu bi kitābika-l-ladhī anzalt, wa bi Nabiyyika-lladhī arsalt. O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge or safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Before you go to bed, perform wudhū as you would for prayer, then lie down on your right side and say [the above]. Whoever says this and dies in his sleep, will die upon the ‘fitrah’ (natural monotheism).” (Bukhārī 6313) In another narration the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Let the aforesaid words be your last utterance (before sleep).” (Bukhārī 247)

I can understand the Day and Night - where I live Fajr about 3:40 summer and 11:40 Isha; like whole day dqy - and shrit days winter - like 7 am Fajr and 5 Maghrib; makes more sense to sleep after Fajr as not to miss anything;

Allah says "My رحمة has encompassed everything" فعلان -INTENSE Temporary رحمان INTENSE رحمة to all creation it's so much so it goes to everyone •Allah is Rahman to those while they are ungrateful disbelieving (Q) In the Meccan period : Allah uses this name so much and the Arabs didn't know of this name Hadith: "People who are merciful to others الرحمان will be merciful to them" -The Problems we have in life are رحمة as well Ayyub AS says "Harm has struck me and you are the أرحم رحمين" He teaches us through it or Raises our rank in the hereafter Positive outlook : whatever Allah took from us ,he is still having رحمة because of the other things he's given us and only taken small thing back which he didn't deserve anyway --> You have nothing and Allah made you rich 1. Allah says go look at the traces of the رحمة 2. رحيم Permenant رحمة Special rahma You don't even know how many time , how much you are receiving -Special رحمة for the believers (Q) The greatest Rahma is Allah gave us ISLAM IMAN - We r happy as prophet saw said "Amazing is the affair of the believer " Bad things = Good Nothing EVIL Think about everything could have been different but it was Allah's rahma that the world is like this Look at story of Khidr AS and the orphans

I know I am watching these series a year later, but if anyone can help me get clarity on this...Ustadh mentioned that the name Rahman was unknown to the makkans and so Allah constantly mentions it in the makki surahs but there was a rich Sahabi AbdurRahman ibn Awf who was a muhajir, how come he had that name if it was unknown to them?

That wasn’t his name, his name was Abu Amr and Rassullah (SAW) gave him the name Abdulrahman after he had accepted Islam

If we contemplate over Allah's creation, we will realise 2 things: 1. How Merciful is Allah swt. 2. That Allah swt would NEVER have left humankind without guidance, therefore He sent Messengers. That is why He said (from a verse in the Qur'an) that those who disbelieve did not give Allah His due right when they say Allah did not send a Messenger to them. P.S. I can't find reference for this verse, plz any hafidh/hafidhah can give reference for the same.

This is very insightful. I noticed the youth here in my Masjid who are on the path of Knowledge have much to desire to their Akhlaq and the way in which they treat others- its very clear to me that they have never experienced this kind of Tarbiyah (sitting under one Shaykh who taught them to be merciful). We have seen the ugly face of miseducation here years ago when the Salafi dawah came to our city by the Salifi brothers who never learned the dawah from a Shaykh- they did more harm than good. They ran many people away from Islam completely and they gave the minhaj a band name.. I see this ugly face reappearing yet again in young men who want the Knowledge but are acquiring it alone on their own... You cannot learn this Knowledge alone.
