Located in the wild Caprivi Strip of eastern Namibia, squeezed between Angola to north and Botswana to south, this
long, narrow extension of Namibia, running about 280 miles (450 km) from the northeast corner of the main block of the country eastward to the Zambezi River. Its width varies from about 20 to 65 miles (32 to 105 km).
It’s (mostly) open (for migrating wildlife) borders sees a constant flow of animals especially during the winter dry season (April- September) when the Kavango Delta in Botswana dries up. Much of that wildlife migrates north into this strip with it’s plentiful rivers, streams, making for wonderful wildlife viewing, especially ELEPHANTS, Lions, Water Buffalo.
