This is so easy to learn from that algebraic way. My teacher literally said these words. "You just have to do it it isn't hard" He would just like expect us to know this algebraic way or other ways to solve. He would barely teach but this guy got me through science and I'm grateful for that.

Good trick to use for chemistry: My science teacher told me this trick for when you're trying to find the oxidization state was to just swap the amounts and you'll get the answer instead of having to do a bunch of math. Might not work all the time though. Ex: V3P5 Flip the phosphorous's 5 with Vanadium's 3 and you'll get V5P3 or V(5)P as your answer.

in 5;22 Na2 Co3 Does Na2 don't need to do prefix , just become sodium ?? why is it not Disodium? and for Co3, isn't Co3 -2 =carbonate?? Carbonate is also Co3 without the -2 ?

I have a question. When you wrote the name for Na_2 CO_3, why isn't it Disodium Carbonate? Since there are 2 sodium atoms, why is it just sodium carbonate?

It's an ionic compound (metal to nonmetal) so you don't use prefixes.

Hey! I know this is 4 months after but, when you have a monoatomic cation (metal), you just say the whole name. Sodium falls under that category, so it will just be sodium. If the question was name Na3, it will be just Sodium Ion.
