This was beautiful. I have ALWAYS LOVED being African and Sierra Leone is my mothers homeland. I have been initiated into my womanhood however I do not recall a naming ceremony, so I shall have to ask my mother. Thank you for sharing, I do hope you enjoyed your time, I certainly enjoyed watching. P.E.A.C.E

I was very pleased with VSL's service, but the whole process is organized to allow the locals to benefit regardless of the group you go with. We also made a special effort to eat and shop only with the locals while there as an extra measure.

@@mindsetofyahweh368 as African born in the continent and knowing some tribes phenotype I was sure you are Fulani. The way you lift your head and move your neck is Fulani way. My DAN tribe and Fulani tribe are cousins. As DAN people we are two anthropological names, DAN and YACOUBA. DAN means in Dan language balance, scale, weight, mesure and YACOUBA means offspring of YACOU. Our language is most paleo Hebrew and God name in DAN is Yahweh and Kohen (priest in Dan language) offers sacrifices each Sahaba ( 7th day of the week). Years ago some Rabi from Israel came to Ivory Coast to meet our community and to figure out how to establish the relationship between us and israel. @@mindsetofyahweh368 So we would have to take a dna test. I don’t really trust those test. I have a coworker from Sierra Leone and he showed me his pictures over the years building his 9 bedroom house. It’s so nice. Makes me want to do the same if possible. It took years to complete.

@@lasthour7132 Yes DNA test is necessary through African Ancestry, it is black owned and they are very visible and vocal about securing information. But I understand, if I hadn’t done mine years ago, not sure I would do it now.

@@babyzima4551 Thank you for watching. There is a governmental review process, and individuals are not automatically approved. Criminal reports both Local and Federal are required for review. It is an amazing opportunity for those in the Diaspora to be able to Return Home after hundreds of years of being dispersed. Our ancestors were stolen into slavery, it is a blessing for us to be able to go home. And the welcome home was amazing!
