It was a cold, rainy day on my way home.
Since I had the day off tomorrow, I thought I'd like to take a detour on my way home, so I went for a walk in Jimbocho.📚
It was late, so most of the shops had already closed, but
the interior of the shops, which I could see from outside, was quiet and had a wonderful atmosphere, as if time had stopped.🥰
The old books piled up, the books sorted and lined up on the shelves by the shop staff,
the various things in the town, all gave me the feeling that they had been carefully looked after by loving hands
and it was a warm town 🕯💗

▶Recipe
[Easy chestnut cream using sweet chestnuts]
200g sweet chestnuts, 150ml milk, 25g sugar
Put the ingredients in a blender
Strain the mixture and put it in a pan over a medium heat
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
[Crepe batter]
90g cake flour, pinch of salt, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, 2 eggs, 20g butter, 250g milk
Mix together the cake flour, salt, sugar and eggs.
Add the butter.
Gradually add the milk and mix until smooth.
[Vegetable-filled gyoza]
3 large shiitake mushrooms, 150g minced pork, 1 long green onion, shiso leaves, 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger, 1 tablespoon sake, miso, potato starch, sesame oil, 1 teaspoon sugar, salt and pepper
[Gyoza soup]
500ml water, 2 tsp chicken stock powder, 2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp soy sauce, ginger, 1 tsp sesame oil
[Cucumber salad]
1 cucumber, 1/4 onion, 5-6 chives, garlic, 2 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp sugar, a pinch of salt
[Gyoza sauce with lots of condiments]
Green onion, ginger, garlic, 1 tbsp. powdered red pepper, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. soy sauce, 2 tbsp. heated sesame oil
