Diatonic-isms are perfectly fine man. With that said, I think Tom and I played quite a lot of altered/chromatic stuff in there.

It looks like a Chris Campbell Guitar. He is out of California and is the guy who makes the Rockbox pedals

Man these guys need to get a little crazy with their ideas, it all diatonic shred legato, tapping arpeggios, it's to sweet, like eating a spoon of sugar! Jack Gardiner's playing (in other videos) is the brightest, happiest walking through the fields sun is shining kinda stuff. Gotta mix it up, play some shit that doesn't fit, I people would get excited and interested if the ideas weren't amalglamation of How, Kotzen, Garsed kinda stuff, anyone heard of Holdsworth?? James Muller?? Scofield??

I think there´s nothing wrong about playing all diatonic ideas, shred, arpeggios etc ... same time nothing wrong playing jazz lines, just be yourself ... right ?
