@Protoman765
@Protoman765 5 жыл бұрын
@@joemaxdenty783 From what I can hear when I've studied Dookie like the audio nerd I am, I believe they would double track with his Blue strat left & right then overdub with les pauls. Traditionally it seemed like for the big sections it sounds like they would just do a double then one overdub up the center. For FOD however, Billie's known for quad tracking, probably with the Meat amp & three different guitars (as they do). Hope this helps!

There seem to be a lot nonsense old heads who have zero respect for Green Day bashing this pedal outright. Green Day blew the doors off the alt-rock scene and single-handedly brought punk back to the mainstream right after it had lost it's idol in Kurt Cobain. This album is still one of the best rock albums of all time, the mixing from Rob Cavallo is so tight and it allows the catchy melodies and talent to shine through. 3 chords and the truth, who cares? Billy Joe DOES have chops, he just chooses to show them sparingly. He speaks more through melodies, but the muscular thwack of his chords and tone are what is so memorable about that album. I can't wait to try this pedal - though I definitely think it's overpriced by a mile. Maybe since they figure it's not an effect, but essentially an amp signal path in a box, that it's worth it. I think it sounds close, cameras don't pick up the nuance.

I'll definitely buy the Dookie-stortion. I can make it useful. The Billy Gibbons fuzz though I'll need to try before I buy. The concept of fuzz + graphic EQ is great but that particular fuzz circuit might not be as useful as others. I'm assuming it is a Fuzz --->EQ not EQ--->Fuzz. I still have an MXR 10 band EQ that I use on occasion AFTER some 'woofier' fuzz pedals so we'll see how this goes.
