Remind me of my Dad.. We were all praying and mentioned Amituofo during his critical condition at the hospital and his last breath. He passed away a year ago. I still miss him a lot.. thanks for sharing..

I've came across a number of mantra but I must say, this is the most powerful I've heard so far. I can feel my muscles were vibrating and even give me headache. The sort of feeling when something was cleansed from my body. I never thought the very common Namo Amituofo could have such incrediable power. I had shown this to Zufu Zwan Zhong. His home temple is very strong and pure. I tell him about my previous life, and how I died in a sport accident, he says this is very common. I tell of the blue haze where I went, and how I did not wish to return. He says this was one of the aspects of nirvana. The buddhist is one path to the pure land. Hi Sengoku, this is Pure Land Buddhism, a branch of Mahayana Buddhism that centers on worship of the Buddha Amithaba for guidance so one can one be reborn in the Pure Land, a perfect heavenly abode in which enlightenment is said to be guaranteed. Though also widely practiced in China and Japan, Zen emphasises direct, experiential realization through meditation and dharma practice. The end goal of is the same, Enlightenment.

I get tears of joy and sadness at the same time when I meditate sometimes (with moving music that is), but I don't feel bad when I cry, I feel nice and very very 'in the moment' and deep. I guess this is a good thing right? I was wondering if anybody else gets this, or if im just weird? hehe!
