This is my experience with Vijetha Smart City, where the developer is the husband of film actress Aditi Prabhudeva. I booked a site with them and received a gift of a silver coin in return. They arranged a cab for my travel to and fro Kengeri to Chikkaballapura. While returning from Chikkaballapura, I met Yashas at Orion Mall (Aditi Prabhudeva's husband). He convinced me to buy a 30x50 site, despite already having a 30x40 site. I insisted on the 30x40 site, but he claimed only four sites were left, all on the west side, and only 30x50 sites were available. They attempted to deceive people that day by presenting west-facing and east-facing 30x50 sites. I didn't realize anything at that moment and booked a site by paying an advance of 1 lakh rupees. However, within four days, I cancelled my booking as I realized I couldn't afford the site, and suddenly my uncle passed away. I felt terrible and decided to cancel. I asked them to return my 1 lakh rupees after 10 to 15 days of cancelling. However, they kept giving excuses, saying they were in the midst of registration or providing daily reasons. Once, when I mentioned visiting their office after two months, which they had listed the address on their website, they said they would pick me up at 3 pm but refused to share the office address. I searched for the office location mentioned on the website for 5 to 6 hours but couldn't find it, even though I went to the same building. I broke down and cried on the road, but they didn't call me back or send the location via WhatsApp until .They called me around 6pm demanded the receipt, which I had honestly lost (I never lose anything and am very disciplined about keeping receipts and documents). Again I came back to native they insisted on a police complaint copy for the lost receipt, and when I provided it, they still delayed the process again for 25 days citing various reasons like the Holi festival, Saturdays, and Sundays with no office. After two months of back-and-forth, they deducted 3,000 rupees as cab charges and claimed that since I booked the site, no one else had, so I should pay even though I cancelled within 5 days. However, for others, they issued a complete 1 lakh rupee cheque. When I questioned this discrepancy, they mentioned cab charges and marketing expenses, disregarding the two months of waiting. I'm now in a situation where the site is unsold. If I had purchased the site with a loan for 40 to 50 lakhs + extra EMI and it remained unsold for years, it would greatly affect me financially. When I enquired about the site after seeing their KZbin channel, they assured me not to worry and promised a full refund, but now I'm facing this situation. If you doubt any of this, I have all the chats on WhatsApp and call recordings as proof.And as I am woman went alone they took advantage of this and started making more delay .I even returned there welcome kit also . Almost 3 to 4 times I travelled to Bengaluru for the sake of money in 2 months The moral of the story is to never blindly trust anyone, especially celebrities who might take advantage of their fame. We may admire them for their talents and achievements, but when it comes to financial matters or anything help needed it's essential to be cautious and listen to our parents' advice or get enquire 3 to 4 times Investing in properties alone may seem exciting, but it's crucial to do thorough research and not get swayed by celebrities or offers that seem too good to be true. We must prioritize our family's guidance and not get lost in the glamour and allure of the entertainment industry.
