Love videos like this! As a 28 year old skater with 16+ years experience I love seeing people learning now and not being embarrassed or anything. When I was growing up I remember practicing in my backyard or in the garage every day until I felt like I could go skate with my friends that were much better. Learning now just seems easier and more respected than it was when I was learning. Could’ve also been the skate community I was a part of but still. Thanks guys!

I totally feel you, and I do think the skate community today is a bit more forgiving. So many times I see more experienced skaters helping newbies at the skate park and it makes my heart full.

Totally agree! I would skate in my garage or at the neighborhood elementary when no one was around. Definitely felt more comfortable learning with no one around. I still get anxiety to this day at 38 when I go to a skatepark and I’ve been skating since age 12

As an older person I don't care what someone thinks while I'm learning. The only thing that keeps me away from a park is the number of people. Other people cause accidents. Nana knows what I'm talking about.

It's fantastic to know that I'm not alone in the anxiety thing. I've only recently started skating bc of COVID and I just started going to skate parks. Older/more experienced skaters helping out less experienced skaters is the way my man
