Nana Mouskouri surely had the greatest popular female voice of the last 100 years. A most powerful voice with a delightful tone, with every single note right in tune , outstandingly sensitive , and having an incredibly extended tessitura. No other well-known popular female singer has reached her incredible singing qualities and technique, the nearest from Nana Mouskouri being maybe Joan Baez... who , by the way, also sung "Plaisir d'Amour", this 18th century French song, but in an English simplified version deprived of the words and music of the verses, keeping only the chorus music.
