A most powerful voice with a delightful tone, with every single note right in tune , outstandingly sensitive , and having an incredibly extended tessitura. No other well-known popular female singer has reached her incredible singing qualities and technique, the nearest from Nana Mouskouri being maybe Joan Baez... who , by the way, also sung "Plaisir d'Amour", this 18th century French song, but in an English simplified version deprived of the words and music of the verses, keeping only the chorus music.

Heard the song on Pandora while I was running one day and love it. The following day running pass the same spot and the song came back to me. I couldn't help to stop and took out my Iphone to see who is the singer and what's the song. That's how I found this video - Nana Mouskouri. Amazingly, she is the same age as my beloved mom who liked to sing as well. This 1971's video can easily bring me back 40 years - the time, that generation of people.
