No one could have been anywhere closer to Maj Chauhan, other than Nana in performance. Prahaar is close to my heart and mind. This last scene is simply brilliant, just the way a Commando would have eliminated his enemies. The movie deserves more than five star rating I feel.

Prahaar is my all time favourite movie and nobody else other than Nana could have played the role of a commando Instructor. A appears to be a real Commando himself and this last fight scene depicts an outstanding unarmed combat. Watched it innumerable times. Nana is great.

04:07 was the best kill. Nana was stupendous in this film as the strong silent type action hero. Unlike other bombastic and over the top cartoonish violence in countless Hindi films of the 80s & 90s, the violence in this film felt real and justified. Also, in films of actors such as Shatrughan, Dharmendra, Mithun, Jitendra, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh, you can clearly tell that a stuntman doubles for the main actor in the fight scenes. Here, Nana is actually doing all the stunts himself and he is physically in terrific shape 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Love this scene and this film. It is an excellent example of the social decay taking place in society and is even more relevant in today's times ***** Out of ***** Nana never directed after this film. It is quite sad. He should have. He has the directorial chops.

Thinking from another angle, it shows that he was terribly angry with the goons and his focus was to finish them off completely in the hard way. It was for all to see that that he broke the goon's hand, who hit him with the sword.

First half of the movie was shot at MARATHA LI Trg Centre and Cdo Wing (Inf School). Nana Patekar is an awesome simple soul down to Earth. He then with his Co-workers was staying in a dilapidated hotel in Cantt area. My residence was just 200-300 yards away from that hotel. Once a while NANA would visit my residence, when my wife asking him "Re NANA BHAI, Tu DOOSRA SHAADI KARLO..👍 He..No...No..Aunti😀" Some time he would fun tell my wife how to cook SABJI. Some of our Officers, Jawans, including me, were made part of movie at places in between to give true military life resemblance. Wish NANA makes some more such movies. GOD BLESS HIM💐💐

In this flim Nana Patekar had a personal hatred or grudge for these kinda gully gundas cause his mother was kidnapped and sold in the brothel by the same kind of gully gunda during his childhood.
