El único manga que me ha hecho llorar como nunca. Esa muerte tan triste y que para peores, *spoiler* el cuerpo de Ren queda destrozado, solo sus manos quedan intactas. Y saber que pudieron salvarlo pero los periodistas huyeron, y que los hijos de Hachi y Takumi se llaman Satsuki y Ren, tal como él hubiese querido. Es un terrible dolo en el corazón :'(

I can't stand Takumi so when Hachi decided to stay with him (WHY?) and have his child, leaving Nobu, the one who really loved her, I couldn't continue watching and I read a summary of the rest. The writer was so cruel with her readers ;__;

MrAxemable She was actually just being realistic and trying to force some of the many problems women (and men) in Japan have this day and age. Many women like NanaK make the same type choices. It isn't ideal and it isn't what we would want but you see this happen with people all the time and the writer is definitely not an idealist. I like how she actually shows the consequences of those choices instead of sugar coating things. Ren's outcome was another one. Japan has a big drug and an even bigger alcohol problem. The alcohol problem is even more exasperated when in a work situation it is considered rude to turn down an offer from someone with authority or more experience than you when they request you go to the bar with them. Many Japanese men end up becoming alcoholics because that mindset is thrust on them. Japan also has a huge suicide rate because of stress involved in "making your own way" and "not being a burden on others and society" and the fact with Japan having been in a huge recession for the last 30 years those aren't exactly easy goals to achieve. Many of those that thankfully don't turn to suicide end up turning to drugs. The author is dealing with the consequences of these types of choices in an indirect way. If you know a lot about their society you can really see the goal of the writer.

Adding to Myriad, in one chapter it is explained that she chose takumi because of that moment nana was crying in her bedroom. Nobu didnt trust her and for that reason she didnt respond nobu's concern. He left her there. Nana also didn't come with nobu. Takumi was the only one there for her and he was willing to accept the baby as his. I still don't like Takuma tho. That cheating rapist tch. Well the future Takumi seems more mature. I hate the "if only"s! If only Nobu had stayed to talk things out. If only nana had been there for hachi to make the best choice. Or if Hachi hadn't stayed silent and let nobu think the worst..

Same I was starting to watch episode 21 and i found out so i quit the anime. I also found out Nana has two children with Takumi and still cheats on her. I don't want a depressing anime like this. I watched this more than 10 years ago and remember I was so freaking shocked even tho I've never read the manga and spoiled myself lol I loved Ren so much and knowing this destroyed me back then. Thank you for the whole series. It was a surprising pleasure to follow the adventures of Hachiko, Nana, Ren, Yasu, Nobu, Reira and more...so sad Ren had to die like that but he seems to be the one who bottled up way too much and didn't speak to anyone. Though, where is Takumi in all that??

The video left his scenes out, he basically deals with all the logistics and damage control, like he always does. He´s also the one, with Nobu, that go to recognize the body and notices that his hands are intact so it genuilly was an accident (Ren was strugglin at the moment so they didn´t know if he crashed on purpose), then forbids everyone to see him, since he´s in a very bad state, which is why Ren is covered.

I don't know if I could have watched this if it were in the anime, I really would have lost it and wept like a baby, and I'm a grown man! The beauty of this manga and it's outstanding story is that things don't go right, like real life. So many things that could have been but never happened, fate as in reality. I still believe Nana is one of the finest True Love stories ever written, true love between two similar souls in two much different women. The love between Nana and Ren was also powerful and real, but the real truest of all loves is the love between the Nanas, real love can be between any two people regardless of age of gender, it's when the love is all the way at the deepest level - the soul. Beautiful stuff. And this is a beautiful video to make me express these thoughts, thank you.

sadly, the mangaka said she won't work on nana ever again because the stress brought by the series success was too much. She was even ill for a long time. But you can see a bit more what happens to all of them in the manga

This was legitimately the first time I've ever cried over the death of a fictional character. Probably because Nana and Ren's relationship so resembles my own, I just identify too strongly, but this really messed me up.

I've read the manga and watched the anime several times over the years. You'd think i'd be used to the way things turned out but everytime i see Ren (or anything Nana related tbh) and especially when i read this part i feel the same way i did the first time i read it. It rly hurt me...and even though i love "Nana" i can't help but feel that same pain all over again. Will always love their relationship (even if it wasn't perfect, especially cause it wasn't perfect), and i'll always love Ren. He deserved better than dying that way... Now i just hope that one day (hopefully sooner than later) we'll get the rest of the story including the ending to get some closure.

Hate that Hatchi slept around, screwed with Nobu's heart, got knocked up by Takumi and ended up married to him. Meanwhile Nana was only ever with Ren, loved him deeply, and he dies in an accident. yees, same here, I can't believe he's dead, and what's more the police thinks it's suicide, nonsense.... if you read the manga, when the reporters were folloing him, he noticed that(there might be a hint in there ), and he had plans on bringing back reira and making up with nana, and promised hachi to see her child, so there is no waay he deliberately killed himself.... I'm so confused, as I see in 7 years of future, there is no signe of hiim beeing alive... oooooooh please, ai yazawa make sure you clarify your story.

This is too annoying Why does ren has to die? Right now I pity nana osaki because she can't even express her true feelings after or before ren died ..she kept herself busy so that she wont remember ...I don't like this...As for Nana Komatsu and takumi ...Sometimes i really hate takumi for being a cheater and right now It made me realize that It is impossible that Takumi never had feelings for reira :3 She even sleep with her ..You know...even though you love you wife that much...somehow for me It's hard ...i feel uneasy ...I don't want to see mana komatsu beingnhurt by takumi because of reira...Reira already have shin AYYTTSS they should just end up being together ...They should realize It...Reira should definitely give up and climb for the new ladder with shin..For yasu and nana osaki I think it's better also if they should just end up being together...well it's just my opinion afterall...for nobu and nana komatsu I think somehow they are really suited for each other but It's hard to explain How can things should end up like that :3 but I think (in my opinion okay) family comes first..Even if no one knows who is the real dad :3 I dont know who is the real dad...is it nobu or takumi..but the kid acknowledge takumi as their dad already.,,But it's too sad if they will divorce...Nevermind Just let the author director or whatever do the job Just don't let them dissapoint us...I'll be waiting to read the real end of nana.
