I realized that I wasn't clear enough about this step! I started with four passes of the bobbles, then I realized it was too much and I remade the row with three passes. But I did not mention that! Sorry about that! Anyway, it also depends on your own taste, and on the thickness of the yarn you use. For me, four was too much but if you like it, go for it! I hope this is helpful.

I really want to make this stunning purse, but I need some helt finding out how many chains I need for the foundation and so-forth. I am using jumbo ribbon yarn. I will be using a size 7mm or 8mm hook because I want the stitches to be quite tight. Can anyone please help me? :D

Here are my suggestions about the number of chains you need: please keep in mind that my purse is 23 cm long, so, If you want the purse to be the same length as mine, you should make as many chains as you need to reach the 23 cm length. I’m really confused about the last bobble stitch of the first row of bobbles. We were doing four passes for each of the bobbles, and then for the last one you said four was too much and 3 is good enough, so we finished the row with 3 and then continued with three for all of the rest of the rows. So, are you instead recommending three passes for the entire project instead of starting at (almost) the end of the first row? Or does the first row need to be thicker for some reason? If so, why not the last one? Great tutorial and adorable purse. Just confused on this one part of it.

Mz Dee Mz Dee when you get to the part where you’re making the bobbles, you will understand. It’s explained as you’re making them. I want to call them “yarn overs” but the first one you make you don’t yarn over so it can be confusing to call them that.
