Nanak Shah Fakir (NSF) is a film based on the life & teachings of Guru Nanak, founder of the Sikh faith. Guru Nanak's Shabads (songs) traverse along the path he showed to mankind of 'Ik Onkar' (there's One God), peace & equality for women. In keeping with tradition, Guru Nanak has been portrayed through computer graphics from the back, amidst a ray of light.
Revered deeply among both the Hindus and the Muslims, Guru Nanak was referred to as 'Shah' by the Muslims and 'Fakir' by the Hindus, the highest honour in both religions hence came to be known as 'Nanak Shah Fakir'.
NSF won three National awards, was applauded at Cannes Film Festival Market and given 'Red Carpet' honour at film festivals in Los Angeles & Toronto. It was also screened by the Hon'ble President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Nanak Shah Fakir is a humble tribute to one of the greatest saints who walked on planet Earth.
All proceeds from this film have been pledged for good causes.
