That may just be down to the fact that despite apparent differences, Nancy and Robin really are the same type of people albeit with different approaches. It's easy to see what attracted Steve to them even if Nancy's Steve didn't totally get what he was looking at yet. The character has sort of skirted the line between Blaine and Stef and ultimately has had to embrace his inner Ducky to fully come into his own. Steve's evolved, Nancy starts to see that and him in a new light given the space of Jonathan's absence. I really hope they don't kill Steve off but it feels a little like the character has done what he was meant to do and now there is only one last sacrifice to make for the people he loves and cares about. That leaves Nancy and Robin with shared trauma between them and bond to take comfort in. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I agree. I feel like everyone wants gay couples (and I would LOVE more representation as well, as I am also lesbian), but with this show being in the 80’s, it’s really not realistic. That’s another reason why I felt weird about Steve being so accepting of Robin when she came out. While that’s great, I feel like we can’t just forget about all the violence against the LGBTQ+ community. I feel like there should at least be a reason for *why* he was so accepting, like he had a gay family member who was killed or committed suicide and he empathized with them, or something of the like.

Maybe it's my wishful thinking but yk how right now there's like, two groups of people: Stancy/Ronance. I would be ok with stancy but i totally need robin to be with someone for goodness sake and vicki has had no scenes. And yes, there's still another season and 2 more episodes of this one but it just feels like she's not as good as nancy to robin rn. Anyway- maybe the two groups im referring to are both right. I mean, Nancy did have a rainbow clip in her in the library, they don't do these things on accident. (Argyle also had rainbow socks, but idk, maybe the rainbow stuff is just the show in general instead of specific characters). You know, Nancy character has evolved a lot (like all the others) from being the “prissy” girl to an actual warrior archetype, the kind that gets dirty and gets the job done. I see a lot of an early Ellen Ripley in her. So I would truly squeal at my tv if they end up giving her a central role in the fight, which was stereotypically a guy role (see Steve’s bloody and shirtless fight scene). The show is about the group dynamic and it’s cool, I see the intention of building a true roleplaying party with epic characters. Robin has neurodiverse charisma/persuasion and good rolls in intuition and observation but lower dexterity, Nancy has great intelligence/bravery/leadership and decent dexterity, Steve is the tank/fighter - if you notice he always put himself in danger for first but the situation is solved by someone’s else critical decision (group support or smart ideas). So between all three I would say the party leader is Nance 100%, and I would love to see her character recognized for that. So…. Not so much Robin saving Nancy, but the other way around. But yeah, Robin knows the song for sure.. so I don’t think my wish will come true ;) I am just so scared to see another lesbian character sacrificed, all I ask is they don’t take that road.

I took this as fantasy, but ppl in comments are taking it seriously? I didn’t read this at all. I saw friendship forming between them, and Robin understanding that what Steve wants is Nancy, and so she’s gonna try to kinda build bonds to help set them up together I want robin to have a girlfriend please! but I would be actually sad if they took it this direction. That’s messy and shitty and I like Steve and robins friendship and something between robin and Nancy would put a wedge. Also esp after they have the bit of (realistic) gay messiness going on in the show already with Will liking his friend that’s already seeing someone else and that we don’t know is even queer in any way, like why add in more gay messiness? Being gay is already messy enough in real life. Let’s have some happier endings pls
