This was also my first Nancy Drew game and it terrified me lol!! I remember getting like, halfway through or something before I started having nightmares of a red eyed werewolf chasing me 😅 Had to drop the game for a solid 2 months before the nightmares stopped.

A lot of the time I wish I could solve mysteries with Nancy Drew, which is why I'm grateful for these games (and the no-commentary walkthroughs of them): they make you feel as if you ARE Nancy Drew rather than just helping her. However, sometimes dangerous or scary moments - such as in this game - make me grateful I don't have a dangerous job (paying or otherwise) like she does. Eep. O.O

Ethel is the scariest part of this game I think O_o Every time she would pop out of nowhere at the very unexpected times...gave me heart attacks the entire game xD

Just found this game. Wow the nostalgia! This was the first video game I ever owned when I was little( my dad has let me go on his before) because I loved the books. God it scared me, but I spent hours on it! Coming back to it now, the dialogue, the music and even the sound effects seem so familiar to me! I wonder how many of the secrets I ever unlocked...

Well, the only Nancy drew game I’ve ever played is White wolf at icicle creek. I’ve only heard of the other games before, notably ghost dogs at moon lake. Even in that game the graphics weren’t so great (especially the moose heads XD) it came out in 2007

This game still gives me nightmares and the creeps. Especially for Halloween in which the music where it’s just strings when you are walking around at 3am......ugh that is so creepy. 😭

I've played a few of the Nancy Drew games I purchased at Half Price Books and wish I had held onto them. I wanted to buy one again but can't find them anymore. I like the mystery puzzle solving games.

Also, given Linda's symptoms, the growling and glowing red eyes outside, and the fact that Nancy read about werewolves in the monster book, my theory is that the culprit has fooled Linda into thinking that she's a werewolf (or is trying to) with drugs and/or hypnosis.

Crazy question for any current gamers. I used to play ND and other games on our PC about 15 years ago. I haven’t played anything on a laptop/desktop since then. What type of laptop would you recommend me buying if I wanted to get into gaming the old ND games again, without worrying about compatibility issues. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've never had any problems when playing Nancy Drew games on any laptop or desktop. Just finished playing the Steam version of the third game a modern PC, while I was also able to run newer games an ultrabook I mostly use for work.
