Why does this remind me of an old pbs kids flash game?

I kinda like the graphics. They have a 90's PC feel to them.

Thank you so much! This guide was super helpful because I could NOT trigger the letter at Maxine’s Diner before watching this

I kind of like the cartoons. The 3D people have always been a little too... uncanny valley. But I guess that's part of their charm, too.

I love that the biggest threat in this game is getting blown up. 😂 Grab the bolt cutters? Blow up the diner. Go to the boiler room? Blow up the high school. It's too great.

I just played the remastered version with my sister.. we used to play the original all the time as little kids.. personally I prefer the cartoony style.. I like the voices better... and they don't look as creepy in my opinion... In the remastered they took out the pay phone >D That was our favorite part! We would sit for hours dialing random phone numbers...

How many of the random phone numbers were actually working ? A lot or was there only a few rare easter eggs ? :)

Oh, I remember this game fondly, 90's graphics and all. I rather liked the cartoon figures rather than the 3D ones in the remaster. These are more expressive and animated. I wish the rest of the series could have been like that. To this day, I never did actually solve the mystery. I mean, I was able to at least guess based on my hunches how everything would turn out, but I never could jump through all the hoops in the game to get the story to progress. I think I just didn't find the right stuff in the library to confront Connie and Hulk on their secrets to move things along. I don't know. I was so close though...

I honestly barely remember this game but watching this video now is really taking me back. The white wolf one is definitely more vivid in my mind

I can't believe some people are saying they like this one better! Come on, even Her had to redo it because they were embarrassed by this first attempt after they got really good, lol. I do love this game... this is one of the games my mom and I played together waaaaaay back in the day, so I love it for nostalgic purposes. Seeing these cartoons after so long made me laugh my butt off. And there were virtually zero puzzled which are my favorite part! Somebody also said (I don't remember where) that the later games constantly bombard you with puzzles and conversations and don't let you have time to just be yourself. WHAT?! I like it when there's actually something to do instead of wandering around like a lost loser! It makes me get so bored I actually get sleepy! Before this player found the judo puzzle and was wandering around trying to figure out what in the heck they missed... that looked really familiar! Lol, I imagined them slamming the mouse down in frustration and cursing! So yeah, I love the original, very first game, because it was the gateway to many more, much more fascinating games, but the later ones are the ones I really love to play. Since this one is no longer being sold, I would like to thank the person who did this playthrough. It is nice to remember. :)

It's so hard to watch this when I'm used to way better graphics for the characters. I never got to start the original because the disc switching didn't work.

Yeah his voice actor was the only one they got from the original to do SCK Remastered. Or could get. Idk why...
@NikkiHailsZuko7 жыл бұрын
Well, him and Nancy's voice... Lani Minella. She is actually no longer in the series. When Midnight in Salem FINALLY comes out, it is a different Nancy voice. SO SAD!
