I was switching channels and came upon a rerun of Too Close For Comfort. I paused when I realized that Karen was the guest star. She and Nancy then performed a number from Golden Rainbow (one of my favorite 'bad' musicals), It was fantastic. Will have to watch tis later. Thanks!

I love that they did the Ford 50th Anniversary medley. Of course Karen Morrow is singing you-know-who's part. The counterpoint between I GET A KICK OUT OF YOU and I GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN is one of my favorite parts. I've always appreciate that, even though Karen Morrow had the closest voice to Merman's that I know of, she never imitated her. Some lighting effects could have helped support the many different moods that the ladies created. I wonder if Mary and Ethel ever saw Nancy and Karen's performance.

I guess it’s no secret that Nancy has a genuinely less-than-pleasant-sounding voice in her mid to upper chest register lol, but Karen steamrolls right over her with great style and class!
