I have epilepsy, I and have absent seizures and I had a seizure in school once and peed myself it was the most embarrassing thing ever and I think I was bullied for the rest of my time at school after that day. People should learn more about epilepsy especially in schools so people have more of an understanding and people like me don’t have to feel ashamed, so I’m glad eastenders did this because I think people can learn from it

I don't have epilepsy, but I was put on medication for my thyroid that I reacted badly to, and I ended up having absence seizures for a couple of months. I never knew why they just came on all of a sudden, or when they were even happening. I just knew that I kept losing time, and when I came around, people would be looking at me very confused, or snapping their fingers in front of my face. I saw this episode with Nancy having one and it all made sense. Very grateful for it to be included in a show like Eastenders. (My medication eventually got changed, and I don't have any absences anymore, thankfully, but I know so many people who are stuck with it and need reassurance that it's okay)

My sister and my nephew are epileptic. My sister has only had one seizure when she was younger. My nephew recently was taken to hospital because he had a full blown seizure and was put on rescue meds. I've also helped a 17 year old when he had a stress seizure in our old neighbourhood a few years back.

I’ve had epilepsy tonic clonic seizures for 10 years now, I’ve suffered the worst of aftermaths from it including bruises/cuts/swelling/scars/head trauma/bleeding/headaches/unconsciousness/severe falls on different surfaces etc., the list goes on, it’s absolutely terrifying before and after the seizure, I’m so proud that eastenders showed awareness and support for people with epilepsy, it’s never usually talked about and some people forget the triggers and precautions that people with epilepsy have to take in order to try not have a seizure, I’d give anything in my life not to have it and wouldn’t wish it on any living soul 😭😭😭

They’ve over exaggerated the after effects of absent seizures. I used to have them all the time, my epilepsy is now under control. After an absent seizure you just go back to normal, no need for holding your head or all that care

There's different types of epileptic seizures out there I've had epilepsy since I was born and I'm now nearly 23 years old and I've still got epilepsy so if anyone knows about epilepsy then it would be me after all I've had it all my life

Actually I have had epilepsy since I was born but I wasn't properly diagnosed until I was 8 years old and now I'm nearly 23 years old and I've still got epilepsy all on my right side of the brain and now I have some on my right temple lobe and anything can trigger seizures even stress can trigger it and Nancy was stressed out in this episode
