I promised to myself to binge watch your show, but I got distracted. Whenever I come across one of your show's episodes, it makes me happy just listening to the music and seeing you. I wish you all the best. Your cardigan looks so regal! I LOVE the multicolored buttons on the jacket you wear while interviewing Nancy Marchant. The Jacket is so classic, and those buttons give it a light, feminine and fun touch.

Such a delightful podcast! I have taken 3 months to grasp the Brioche technique 🤪 and I finally nailed it ... and, I might add, am totally hooked on it! (there was an awful lot of impolite words uttered in the process lol). I would dearly love to use the charts from Nancy's book but I have dodgy eyes and find them too pale ... any chance of anyone publishing her charts in a bold font for the visually challenged?

What a surprise to see your film clip of the Ugly House! It was a landmark for our family back in the 1950’s when as children we made the long and (then) arduous journey from the Isle of Wight to see my Welsh relatives. When we saw it we would always call out “the ugly house” and it always meant we were in Wales finally and well on our way to Anglesey. I am so intrigued by Brioche but never have done it and I may try to find the little Leisure Arts instruction books as an intro. Also glad to hear that the cheaper yarns work well and would make good practice materials.

I am attending VKL for the first time this year. Seeing you would be such a treat!!!! I have knit a couple of projects only to be disappointed at how quickly they start to pill. I appreciate the extra care and attention that’s put into making higher quality yarns that resist pilling. What are some other brands you have used that do not pill easily?

Yay! Lisa Rametta , Patron here - I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be attending VKL in NYC this year :) I’m even more excited to be taking A two part brioche class with Nancy on Friday after viewing this segment :)) I’m not sure when your last trip into NYC was .. It’s a much cleaner and safer city in most areas than many years ago . The area where Vogue is held is fabulous ! I come in by commuter train -Grand Central Station ( safe and beautiful ) taxi stands outside of each exit . I hope you’ll enjoy our city . This is my 10th year attending . Its an amazing experience full of friendly happy Knitters . Let me know if you have any questions etc - it would be an honor !

I am Norwegian, and I really loved the designs by Kristin, I think I have to make Solveigs jacket, so beautiful! The brioche and tuck stitches looks really advanced to make, but I guess starting small is a good aproach. I am always so envious that you can actually wear all these beautiful patterns... Brazil has only one month cold weather, and that's not even close to your cold weather, as we have like 6°C and that's not enough to wear most of the sweaters out there... Have to focus in cotton and lace for us lololol thanks a lot for bringing us some beauty and love in our weeks, these patterns are amazing. And your cardigan looks just super cute... I would add snaps to one side though so then you don't have to worry about it slipping to the sides... Just wondering about it

Same here. I'm living in Mexico now and only need a very light wrap for evenings. Doing more crochet than knitting because there seem to be more summer patterns for crochet. I do like the way knit garments hold their shape and yet have stretch. With crochet, the fabric is more firm.

I’m so jealous that you’re probably already in New York for VKL! Do the subway knitting swarm with Kristy Glass and please take lots of pictures. Oh I miss seeing Andrew! Among many other great aspects of his character that came across in your show, he was a wonderful counterpoint to the gentrification of knitting and the gatekeeping (neither applies to your show) which typify so much about the knitting world today. I love how he always seemed to remember the pragmatic, rather humble roots of knitting...of the people for the people and all that.😥 To be clear gentrification is not all bad, and gatekeeping can keep "the standard" up!

What a great treat on this rainy, icy day in Canada. Wish we could share some of the wet with Australia! So heartbreaking. I hope you'll be able to give us good news in future episodes about the folks you know there. Your modifications to the Morningstar Bridal jacket are stunning. They may have occurred because of "errors" but the result is lovely. Thank you for the lovely walk in Wales. A question popped into my head when I saw how wet it was...what do you think about leg warmers/pants protectors/boot toppers? Thank you also for the visits with scandiwork and Nancy Marchand. Both made we want to rush off and cast on something new and challenging but I'm going to stick with the three sweaters I currently have on the go. Until next time.

Your Bridal jacket, Andrea, is a work of art and I love the full front panel. I’m wondering if it can be secured somewhere near the bottom of the sweater to keep it from moving under the jacket. Thrilled to hear that you’ll be gracing our shores at Vogue Knitting Live this coming weekend. Yarn snobbery. Confession: without unlimited money, I am guilty. I have several high end yarns I am eager to purchase if only one skein just to try. However, I know the quality of some acrylics and blends is quite good. My biggest concern with them is environmental although the production of any fibre is open to question on that score. Sadly the entire fibre and textile industry is one of the most polluting industries on the planet, but none so much as the production of acrylic.

Walked across. He made a big fuss because it was moving water, but it wasn't deep. He would happily have wandered into the main river, he's been in there before. We actually have to stop him doing that because he will get too cold, but he loves swimming.

I'm a little disappointed, I tried to get these books, but the exercise has been confusing. Brioche Lace has already sold out with Stephen and Penelope so I wasn't able to work out the total cost with postage to Australia. With schoolhouse press the postage to Australia is $55 US which brings my cost to Aus even with the discount to aprox $165 Aus.. So I went onto Amazon US the total cost there without the discount is $113 Aus. I have sent Schoolhouse press an email for more info re the postage cost. This isn't a complaint, just information, I was wanting to give it a go and am just not sure what to do because of the cost.
