In your answer xex-ex+c were did you get the c from?
@bonelessbooks92632 жыл бұрын
@@stephenmorrison1297 this is late but all indefinite integrals need a plus C. When you derive constants, they disappear because you’re going down a power and you can’t go a power less than a constant. So the derivatives of 2x^2 - 8 and 2x^2 + 5 are going to be the same: 4x. Well, when you integrate, you work backwards from this. When you use the integration power rule on 4x, you get (4x)^2/2, or 2x^2. But because the constant is gone, you can’t integrate it. We add C to represent the fact that there might be something there, but we don’t know what it is. Hope this helps!

Tips: Before integrating, you have to observe the given and ask yourself, what part in the integrand that you can differentiate and integrate. Example, xe^x. We can differentiate x we can also differentiate e^x, we can also integrate x we can also integrate e^x , so you can choose either of them and gives the same answer.

One thing I would recommend is a time stamp or something so people who are refreshing for review don't have to sit through the explanation. Maybe it's just me but when I can't remember and i'm watching a video that 2-3 minutes of "this is why we do it" or "why do we do it" is like nails on a chalkboard.
