In 2015 I watched all three hours of this award event THREE times on a weird station that was one of two that aired S. Korean programming at night. Religious stuff in foreign languages during the day. I forget if it was Charter or Spectrum in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties in SoCal. Granny has always had memory problems. From start to finish the 2015 MAMAs were a mind blower. The technology used for the staging made our awards look like they are put on by high schoolers at old stage theaters. I am over 70 and miss these young men. I had gone looking for good entertainment elsewhere in the mid 2000s because we had too much crap and too much politics in it. I found East Asian. Music didn’t have subtitles but I didn’t care. It was fun. Nighttime tv shows had subtitles and so did most movies. It took a little getting used to because they are different cultures. I first used the internet but all those sites are gone. Now I live on the other side of the country and there are only apps or bits and pieces on KZbin. I am nit very good with tech myself.

Old fan here. Tayeang, the main singer, was always aimed to be a rapper. It was when their producer told him something like he needed to try to go on singing, probably didn't see much future in his rapping style next to the beast that GD already was, and he nailed it. He has such a special voice. This performance makes me realize how much he improved to get to where he is now. Tayeang set the bar way too high as a singer, kpop groups were becoming better and more competitive in 2006, so having someone with such a distinctive voice became a must that every company tried to find for their groups. Not that I'm forgetting about Daesung's skills btw. Man, Bigbang was really what changed the kpop game into something bigger. They were the first on many things.
