Aarati is way of praising a deity through hymns describing God's beauty, love, Divinity & power. It's a part of spiritual rituals & sanjarti is the one which is performed specifically during the sunset to subside the negativity and generate the positive vibes. Aarati also helps in activating spiritual emotions, strengthening the faith in deity.
Deity principal is more functional during aarati, which ultimately generates more energy and Devine consciousness (chaitanya), and benefits the attendants. Also prevents distress from predominant raja-tama environment formed due to sunset.
