Great video! Are gaffers and theatres not using CRMX with a PC program for a preprogrammed show? I can see this as being useful for pixel mapping, sequences, fades...everything tablet and phone apps lack.
@dappergaffer

@@SpirosAbatis yes, Lumenair and Blackout are the primary I’ve seen. Although usually on an iPad. Grand MA probably more in live environments or episodic stage shows? As an owner op gaffer - a PC system would be pretty clunky for the type of work a lot of us do

Hey there...how do you find the XR Pavo's compared with Titan's?
@dappergaffer
@dappergaffer 3 ай бұрын
For me, now that the Pavos have Lumenradio - they do everything I need them to do. I can't see myself needing to use Titan's anymore unless production specifically asks for them

Thanks for this video. I wonder if it is possible to use Sirus Pro for Nanlite DMX control ? The LumenRadio CRMX is interesting. Can you get an user friendly iPad app for and control different light manufactures ?

I’ve found them to be about average. But I think where some of the confusion comes from is how you think about it and how the manufacturer sets up the controls for it. For instance, Titan tubes allow you to select how long you want them to run and they simply throttle the brightness to accommodate that runtime. If you set them at maximum brightness (which requires the minimum runtime) they don’t last all that long. With the Pavos, you set the brightness and it tells you how long they will run at that power draw. They will run a very long time for instance if you run them at 1%.

@dappergaffer Astera Tubes last 20 hours and have been around for years now. Let's be honest Nanlite just cut corners on the costs.

@@djLovelyTime did you read my comment above? They last 20hrs if you significantly throttle the output. At full intensity Titans do not last very long.
