I work in a corporate job, and figures are fiddled and manipulated at every level on the way up the chain. Theres always things you can remove as an 'outliers' that makes things look a bit better than they are. Starts with 85% on a target, but the time the CEO is reading it out in a quarterly meeting it has magically become 98% I'm confident this happens everywhere, including government.

There is barely any point in working in this country. I can make more money and have my bills paid for me sitting on the dole. I’d have all the free time I want, no horrible colleagues to have a go at me, I wouldn’t even really have to earn the money I get because the dole office barely even check anymore. This isn’t a fault with people, this is a fault with the system and the government. You want to force obese people to get skinnier to get them into work, all you’ll end up with is skinny dole bludgers instead of fat ones.

No, you really couldn't. I had to go on benefits for 7 months when hubby died. I had to take the car off the road because I couldn't run it, tax it or insure it. I had to stop the children's music and karate lessons. I got just under 1500 a month, my rent was 1000. That left me 500 for all bills and food. There was certainly no luxuries. I was so happy to get a minimum wage job, because I'm so much better off now. That people are living the life of riley on benefits is a lie. Having said that, I'm eternally greatful for the help I received.

The injections can increase weight loss, however the unemployed may not wish to return to work. Deep brain stimulation can be used in such cases; implanted electrodes can increase dopamine release, there would be increased enthusiasm to work.

These people say the tax rate is high. Obviously these people cannot remember the days when the standard rate was 30% prior to the 1980s and the top rate was 80%, under both left wing and right wing governments. People need to learn basic history, then let them ask themselves whether an extra 5p in the pound in tax is too much - it would still be lower than it was back then.
