Quick warning though, it's very small, so be careful not to lose it or break it. That's what happened to mine.

That is a Cool little gadget, very nice how it uses a prop for up and down, I have the flying shark and thats a fantastic RC toy, really does look like it's swimming!
@taoistflyer10 жыл бұрын
I love the flying shark, it can actually fly backwards with some practice, give it full left and let it turn almost sideways, then give it full right and let it turn sideways the other way, it slowly pushes it backwards.
@JaxTellerRC10 жыл бұрын
taoistflyer Yeah, I want to take mine to a nice beach somewhere and get some shots of it, but there needs to be 0 wind for that ha ha
@taoistflyer10 жыл бұрын
It might be easier to use something like after effects CS5 to composite video of your shark with a shot of the beach, the angle of the 2 shots would be easier to match then the lighting but it would be cool. Sometimes during sunrise you'll get zero MPH wind for a short time but your right that even the slightest gust would be an issue. It would be a nice shot though, if you pull it off you have to send us a link.

what kind of motor is this ? GREAT
@ShiftyMcGoggles10 жыл бұрын
silly question, but would this be considered a good starting point for a uav hobbyist? Also, would this be pretty easy to modify for improvements, say, moving the engines more mid-ship and rewiring the vertical rotor to a ballast bladder?
@taoistflyer10 жыл бұрын
Modifying it would be tough, the vertical rotor is soldered directly to the circuit board and the solder joints are tiny, I was able to re solder the vertical motor when it stopped working one day but adding a ballast bladder would be a challenge. It's probably not the best UAV starting point, it's a great indoor toy and a lo of fun but if you want a UAV you would probably be better off starting with a quad rotor.

@nazarderkach93206 жыл бұрын
Well, I can understand why their Carbon Butterfly (200$) and Silverlit's Picofalcon (50$) are so expensive, because they really use microscopic electronics. CX10(20$), meanwhile, is just a circuit board sandwiched between two plastic pieces. And this thing(50$) is also just a circuit board, probably even bigger than the CX10, and doesn't have the plastic pieces. The question is: WHY?

+Ahmet S. ÇALIŞKAN It's Rc It uses a really nice 900 Mhz 4 channel r/c transmitter with a 300 foot range. it's all plantraco hardware and they make some great transmitters and nano aircraft. The transmitter has tones of features like the ability to reprogram it for different control schemes. It also has the battery charger built in. It uses AAA batteries but a set seams to last a long time.

@@taoistflyer first of all, I am honored to have a response from one of my all time favorite KZbinrs! Second, that sadly is the case with a lot of RC stuff these days. My Sphero BB-8 droid and my other classic sphero’s are all being afflicted with inevitable battery failure. With the only Sphero robot being a bit more immune to this being their R2-D2 as he can be disassembled and his battery can technically be replaced. Same with the Sphero Ollie line in theory too. But yeah it really bites when a product gets hard to obtain and it suffers from inevitable battery failure…
@taoistflyer2 жыл бұрын
@@Cyber_Horse_Studios87 Sadly my original sphero and my bb8 both died as well, but they're pretty easy to find on eBay these days. Fortunately my sphero mini still works and honestly it's one of my favorite rc toys of all time. I'm honored that you consider me one of your favorite KZbinrs, it's great to know that you enjoy my videos and I'm happy to see you in my comments.
@Cyber_Horse_Studios872 жыл бұрын
@@taoistflyer yeah that’s true. eBay always makes things easier, and the modern Sphero Bolt seems to be handling the battery issues a little bit better when compared to the previous generation models. Also I have a Sphero mini too, and it’s a pretty fun little robot! I would also recommend the hero droid BB-8. It’s a bit big, but it’s loads of fun! Also I’m happy to hear that! ^_^ You’ve always been one of my personal favorites for years now, especially with all the fun RC- aircraft you’ve shown over the years, especially that Star Trek video!

GManGT back in the day when plantraco still produced these that's correct they were about 60 bucks. It's really difficult to find them now so I'm not sure how expensive it would be to get one today but I absolutely love this little aircraft. One of my favorites and a lot of fun. I did have to do a little Nano soldering on one of the motors when it vibrated loose but mine still works and my little girl loves it.
