At first this video was about a young Tyrannosaurus, but then a separate genus Nanotyrannus was identified, and since this tyrannosaurus was modeled on the skeleton of Nanotyrannus, the video was renamed.

Nanotyrannus isn't a valid genus anymore and that study is questionable.

@@baronvonclay That's a shame, but totally understandable (I lack time myself, life is getting in the way any chance it gets). I still hope the algorythm at least suggests your videos more to people who search for diorama stuff and maybe someone big will mention you thanks to your fern method. That might be a big stepping stone at some point. ^^

You can use any setting powder. Gypsum allows the product to maintain its shape, but it makes it fragile. The main thing is to find a balance. You need to experiment.

The leaves are oven-dried after cutting, then completely covered with PVA glue. Herbariums are stored for decades. I am sure if you do not wet the diorama, they will last for many years.

Plaster, mud, PVA glue, and acrylic paint. I made the small plants using the same method as the ferns. I applied a mixture of paint, PVA and plaster to the tape (or better yet, to a silicone mat), and when it hardened, I glued the painted wire.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that: "It is T. rex, not T-rex!" and the dinosaur sculpt reminds me more a guvenile allosauroid than a young Tyrannosaurus (besides hands). This is for science accuracy, not for the final result: the diorama is awesome.
