Nanowar Of Steel - Summer Breeze 2023 - ARTE Concert

Après avoir cartonné au Summer Breeze en 2022, Nanowar Of Steel est de retour au festival et s’offre une scène encore plus grande que l’an dernier : le terrain de jeu idéal pour ses champions de la vanne et des mauvais tours. Leur metal truffé de références balance méchamment et même les purs et durs de l’underground admirent l’humour des Italiens…et leur musique.
On dit souvent que tout a déjà été inventé mais c’est faux : le Comedy Metal a pris de court bon nombre d’amateurs de gros son. Le groupe Nanowar Of Steel est l’un des plus illustres représentants du genre avec ses textes farfelus qui parlent d’hommes-reptiles, de pirates au régime sec ou de la lente chute des pellicules sur le sol. Beaucoup de ses titres sont de véritables tubes en puissance et sa musique est toujours irréprochable. Car il faut le dire : la formation n’a pas seulement le sens de l’humour, elle sait aussi jouer avec une grande facilité un nombre infini de styles musicaux.
Avec Nanowar of Steel, le Summer Breeze Open Air 2023 fait battre le cœur de dizaines de milliers de métalleux. Quatre jours durant, c’est toute la richesse et la diversité du metal qui s’offrent aux festivaliers. Le tout dans l’atmosphère unique et détendue de Dinkelsbühl, petite ville du nord-ouest de la Bavière qui accueille la manifestation depuis 2006.
À la création du Summer Breeze Open Air, en 1997, 400 passionnés étaient venus écouter dix groupes à Abtsgmünd, dans le Bade-Wurtemberg. Aujourd’hui, plus de 45 000 fans se rendent chaque année au plus grand festival de metal du sud de l’Allemagne, dont la renommée dépasse les frontières européennes. Après avoir fêté ses 25 ans en 2022, le Summer Breeze poursuit en 2023 sa success story. Pendant quatre jours, des pointures nationales et internationales feront s’abattre une déferlante de metal sur le public massé devant les quatre scènes du festival.

I fell really sorry for non italian people who cannot understand all the puns and references like "BarbaGianni Morandi", or the verses from Dante's Divina Commedia, or "Falegn-Amen", or the whole history about Pasadena '94 match. Not to mention the "c'è spostare una bara" from Francesco Salvi in "Disco Metal".... No, wait, they did not put it in in this concert.... I wonder why....😂

@@desaturated-firefox i'm not sure because it was month ago, but they joked they have a good friend from Norway called Varg Vikeners we may know with a famous band called Burzum and this song is dedicated to him (the joke is Varg is a racist and hates untrue metal, so he propably hate an italian band making joke reggaeton metal). Now the crowd should chant "Burzum" if they are fans. Of cause the crowd loughingly did and Nanowar said "oh no they aren't supposed to do that because they are on state tv". And now we know it was actually to problematic for state tv. I think it was the right call. People who don't know who Varg is and what he did and does wouldn't get the joke and promoting a fashist isn't allowed on tv in germany. I was still a bit suprised it got cut.

Das nennt man "Spaß". Eine Gruppe hochbegabter und äußerst intelligenter Musiker haben sich zusammengetan, um den Spaß am Metal und später der Musik allgemein wiederzuentdecken. Meist-Geistreiche Texte (mal von Perlen wie "In the Sky" abgesehen) sind gespickt mit Schichten an Humor gegen die echte Lasagne flach wirkt. :P Der Umstand, dass auch größen wie Sabatons Joakim Brodén oder Ross The Boss von Manowar schon mit denen Spaß hatte spricht meiner Ansicht nach dafür, dass die Ansicht dahingehend auch allgemein geteilt wird.
