Pallavi Dance Center is a Dance school established by one of the leading exponent of classical dance of Bangladesh and one of the finest and most creative choreographers and dance director of the time.
One of the resounding success of Pallavi Dance Center is Tagore's dance drama "Shapmochon". On the occasion of the year long joint celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore by the Governments of Bangladesh and India.
Founder Director Minu Haque has traveled widely with national dance troupes in the late sixties (from former East Pakistan) and after the liberation of Bangladesh, as member of the Performing Arts Academy. She has conducted numerous lecture demonstrations for various local and international bodies besides providing assistance on choreography for many theater groups of the country.
Bangladesh’s folk music & dance boasts a rich heritage and bonding with the roots of the culture that is still practically unheard of by the global audience. Dhaka International Folk Fest is here to provide the international platform where the entire planet can enjoy the culture’s true form embodied in its folk music along with the different folk musicians all over the world.
