Simple notes I took while watching this video: - Draw faces from various angles rather than only drawing faces from the front - Plan your entire drawing first, then finish it. Don't finish one part and plan the rest of it later. - Regularly look at the full drawing rather than getting too focused on the details. - If you look at your drawing and think it doesn't look right, then it doesn't look right. Change anything that bothers you about the drawing rather than leaving it as it is. - Accurate proportions are good, but don't make that the focus of the drawing. The focus of the drawing should be the overall feeling that you want to convey to the viewer. Having good accuracy in your anatomy and proportions is a nice bonus. - There will likely be a large gap between what you can do and what you want to do. Filling that gap will lead to improvement. Do not give up on a drawing in the middle of making it. Draw until you are satisfied with what you have made. - If you are feeling dissatisfied with your drawing, look at the artwork of other artists to get an idea of how you need to improve your drawing. - Most important of all, accept that feeling of being dissatisfied with your art and bear with it rather than letting it drag you down. Do not give up.

thank you I could not understand a single word in the video lol
Naoki sure is strange. He made me always watch his videos before drawing so I could calm down and start my hands. I'm grateful.

these are genuinely all the common mistakes i kept being bothered by 😭😭😭 i focused so much on the face that i never gave enough time to the overall composition of a piece and so all my of work ends up subpar at best because the anatomy looks stiff and like it was drawn by a baby 😭😭 thank you sensei ill keep these in mind
I realized these mistakes of mine a short time ago and improving on them has greatly enhanced my artwork! Afterwards, I wished I had noticed them much earlier. The video is great, thank you!

I'm finally on time! Lol 😄 Thank you Sensei for not giving up and still helping the art community. You are so valuable to us as Sensei, but also as a person. You always making us laugh and learn in a fun way with your positive vibes! ありがとうございます!
I don't speak Japanese, this is a message translated by google. I have always wanted to thank Mr. Saito Naoi, every time I watch your videos, I always benefit a lot. Although the pictures I draw have not made obvious progress, but through the warm cheers in your channel, I have a lot of confidence in the road of drawing. Thank you very much, Mr. Saito Naoi!

@@meronia Chinese is my mother tongue. In order to better convey the semantics, it is the most conservative way to translate into English without knowing Japanese grammar.

Как... просто... как? Как так можно интересно и смешно рассказывать такие полезные советы? Это просто фантастика! Огромное спасибо, Наоки Сайто! И за перевод гигантская благодарность!
I learned the 2nd lesson ( 4:46 ) in accidental around 2019. Back then I was so confused why all of my drawings always have broken neck and unproportional pose. And when I was too lazy to draw but want to make a certain pose, I choose to draw the body first. Got an 'aha' moment as the head now look so proportional. Since then I have better way to draw and now my style can be looked natural despite still cartoonish :) Thank you for the lesson, for I know that what I learn is actually a good lesson from you too.

I'm glad I watched this video. Recently, my drawings turned out to be dull, i have tons of unfinished artworks that I abandoned and getting frustrated why it doesn't turn out good. Not to mention, i find drawing the whole body tedious after i finish drawing the details of a character's face. Now i get it! I'll try my best and apply what I learned from this video Naoki-sensei.

I just discovered this channel. I have no idea who this man is but the part where he talked about looking too close to the screen and giving up in the middle of your work. I feel called out... You sir, have earned a subscriber.
