I was pulling for Osaka, but in the realm of mentorship, and a gracious spirit (Petra gives the awkward Osaka a hug at the net), no one compares to Kvitova. What an example for the others to emulate...and yes I believe that Petra has a major or two left in her, despite the amazing play of Osaka and others.

I saw that second set like milion times. Petra's huge POOOJD after last point in the second set always gives me unbelievably much energy... she is a truly champion. Yes, Osaka had a good comeback too, but if there is someone, who does a proffesional sport he must know, that it is hard to comeback in the middle of the set (after set, when you can go to the lockeroom, it's easier)

If she slammed her racket that means she violent ?
@editsbycaitlyn22003 жыл бұрын
@@ulehgodstimedabest2174 good question. i believe that allowing yourself to compose yourself in that moment can take a lot. not saying that slamming your racket is necessarily violent, but it’s not a happy thing for someone to do either
It always floors me when there's a comment about any player to focus on the tennis and less on the off-court things. The smart ones know that they have to do both. When the tennis is over, it's often over. There has to be something else they need to fall on or squirrel away during their tennis career. If they are the best then no problem - the best have money... but if you are not the best, you need other sources of income, exposure, etc. They need to build their brand to get them through the tough "tennis" times. I would love to be Naomi - even if she stopped tennis now, how many people have won 2 Grand Slams??!?? Breathe people... she's being smart about her career. Plus enough about her old coach - if he was great, why isn't KM winning Grand Slams!??!? Exactly. Plus we've all worked for/with managers/bosses and achieved great things but some of us had to part ways because our values, personality, etc. don't match. You can't just suck up those things - you interact with these people all the day so it's important to find the right fit.
