Simply put, your routines matches with my Hari Raya when it comes to like cleaning houses, buying clothes, cooking food, buying snacks so that relatives can come and eat it all HAHA. and I am grown up in family from dad side is tyociu and mom side is hokkien, i speak very weirdly (though we usually use hokkien more) >< sadly Chinese in Indonesia doesn't really care anymore about is you are hokkien, tyociu or khek, and some of us cannot speak any dialect at all. (so sad)
