@rubberbandgurl320 Yes I did this commentary for WCSN in 2005 for individual and group finals. I was asked to explain how and why the gymnasts are scored, and was asked to underline the execution mistakes of "some of the favs" ... if anyone has more of my commentary you should post it cause it only gets better :) I WOULD totally do commentary for the 2012 Olympics!! Just tell me when and where and I will show up!! :)

I come back to this video for a laugh every now and then. Angelova’s commentary combined with Kapranova parking herself in the middle of the floor at every opportunity makes me lose it every time 😂

Stella Angelova is the only person who has any business doing RG commentary for American television. Someone who was working in Beijing told me that Andrea Joyce and Elfi Schlegal sat down to talk about what they would say for the RG competitiion, and in the course of the discussion Andrea Joyce said that she didn't even remember which apparatuses are used in RG. Tchachina was in good shape and gave great routines. Bessonova, too. Why did they both score lower than Kapranova? This was ridiculous and the biggest waste was that Tchachina retired soon afterwards. At that time it felt like the most unfair thing in sports.

tchachina, with kanaeva and yana form me one the three best eussian gymanst ever was always underrated even by russia or better viner,she was never a "favorite one" and was underscored in favor to kabaeva and othe viner's pupils like always ...poor irina

The reason Kapranova got such a high score that she clearly didn't deserve was because she was Viner's favorite. Viner is the most deceitful and dirty person in RG history. She continually continues to use her money and influence to put down the gymnast she doesn't like because she may be so much better than her favorite.

@Vip-COP I never understood why she would even turn against her own if they were the best like Tchatchina was.. By the way, I heard that the Averina twins retired recently. Soldatova's potential was also wasted and now she just became another young ex-RG mother.. Of course she could potentially still resume her sports career after a few years although thats not what usually happens.. So who is leading the Russian team? Nobody else looked polished enough when I last saw them over a year ago..

Well, Viner is a very arrogant woman who thinks that she is always right and that whatever she does or whoever she chooses, it has to be the best, there is no other way for her. I think, now, Kramarenko is one of her favorites, but there are many good young gymnasts on the list that she can also choose from. Viner has a very good school of RG gymnasts... It's just that her shitty personality wastes really brilliant gymnasts like Tchachina and Soldatova, for example.

i feel bad for tchachina ,for me with kanaeva and yana one the three best gymnast , still she was undercored seeing judges and viner favoring before kabaeva and then kapranova rubbing her of deserved gold medals poor ira

FInally, competent commentators :) It's finally nice to have some precisions and critics. That routine was a disaster, typical Kapranova. I can't even think she is a world champ over talented and amazing gymnast like Tchachina and Bessonova; GROSS. Not only Viner has bad taste (great Black Swan music, shitty choreo) but the great talent coming to Novogorsk are wasted by her incompetent coaching skills. What a waste of time, money, talent and beauty of the sport. We have to see that..Gross.
