Thank you for always loving our country's Japanese songs. If you were classmates at school in Japan instead of Canada, you would have had many friends. I think you were accepted in Japan because of your rich sensibility. ✌
Naotarou's mother is also a singer, but I find it interesting that his falsetto voice has a vestige of his mother's voice. Cherry blossoms begin to bloom from the south of Japan and move north. In the Tokyo region, we can enjoy cherry blossoms from mid-March to early April. Since that is the season for school graduation, entrance ceremonies, and joining the company, there are many songs about cherry blossoms in Japan. Cherry blossoms remind us of encounters and farewells.

This is the very song that made Naotaro known to everyone in Japan as a rising star. When he released the song, he also recorded a version together with students of this school. Seven years later when this school was about to close its history as a girls' school, Naotaro suddenly appeared their graduation ceremony and gave a song to the students as a surprise gift to celebrate the end of their high school life and also the end of the school. When he urged students to sing Sakura with him, surprisingly students started singing exactly like their graduates did in the recording. Momentarily he found that the song had always been there with the students of this school. That's why he was about to cry but he hold back tears and kept singing til the end. This is the background story that I heard about this footage.

Cherry blossoms are one of the symbols of the country.
“Sakura (solo)” Cherry Blossoms, Naotaro Moriyama Released on March 5, 2003. Universal Music Japan. Second single by Naotaro Moriyama. Lyrics: Naotaro Moriyama / Kaito Okachimachi Composed by Naotaro Moriyama Arranged by Nakamura Taichi (English translation of the rough meaning of the lyrics) We'll surely wait for you Till we meet again On the road lined with cherry blossom trees I'll wave my hands and shout No matter how hard you're going through, you're always smiling When my heart was about to give way, your smile made me feel like I could hold on As time goes by, I seem to hear that day's song in the hazy landscape Sakura, Sakura, now you are in full bloom knowing that the flowers in full bloom now are doomed to fade in a moment Farewell, my friend, as we depart, I send you my unchanging thoughts Now, I wonder if I can say the words of truth from my heart Wishing for your bright future, true words from my heart to you The city seems to be rushing us along with time Sakura, Sakura, you just dance away Believing that one day you will be reborn Don't cry, my friends, it's time to say goodbye, so let's go, with your unadorned smile Sakura, Sakura, petals, soar high You who shine in the eternal sunlight Farewell my friends, we will surely meet again in this place On this road where the cherry blossoms dance in the air, I'm sure. Million Seller (CD, Japan Record Association) 2003 No. 4 on the 2003 annual chart (original Confidence Japan official chart)
