I'm just an amateur, but it sounds like they scooped (bite off key freqs in the EQ) guitar and bass to make space for drums and vocals. Usually in this genre guitars are very mid range focused but not here; guitar is very treble focused and bassguitar very bass focused, and drums really compressed (this is standard for the genre I guess); you can feel the kickdrum but you don't hear the "click" some producers insert. I dig a lot the sound, but I have never tried to do anything like this. I'm outlining what I would try in a mix, so please be aware that I have quite limited knowledge in the matter.
